Worthy Warlord
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
For as long as the Baedurin and Aeravalin subraces of the Draelvasier have produced children, there have been Risen-Sraelvun. Cast off as defective offspring, these hybrids have been treated as mere drones since their original creation. They have received very few of the benefits of their kind, but have often functioned very well in the sub-society of the Sraelvun, forcing themselves to the forefront of groups by proving themselves to be more capable and hardy than their kin.
During a court hearing by the Ish'makra - the supreme court of the Bryn'adul - a proposal was brought forth by Marauder Hraelga Nacht to provide additional training to some of the drones who had proven themselves more capable than their peers. This proposal was met with an impromptu trial by combat between Osam and three lesser Sraelvun drones. Upon slaying these three, the decision was made by the Titan and the Ish'makra to raise the hybrids above their current station. As part of this sudden rise, they have recently begun receiving better education as per their peers, and have been granted positions of authority over their Sraelvun cousins, serving as a vital link between the reckless and savage Horde and the more refined and organized warmachine of the Baedurin and Aeravalin.
- Intent: To better describe the newly formed "Risen-Sraelvun" in their roles throughout the Bryn'adul Warmachine.

- Unit Name: Risen-Sraelvun
- Affiliation: The Bryn'adul
- Classification: Infantry, Commanders
- Description:
While possessed of many of the qualities of their Sraelvun peers, the Risen-Sraelvun are born as mixed-races often by a mixture of Baedurin and Aeravalin parents. They tend towards being physically and mentally more fit than their fellow drones, capable of rational thought while still displaying qualities typically found in Sraelvun such as their climbing claws. Occasionally, the mixed lineage of the Risen-Sraelvun will grant them some of the traits of their progenitors, including their strengths and weaknesses, though these are typically supplemental as opposed to encompassing.
Due to their increased abilities, the Risen-Sraelvun have been granted positions above their Sraelvun kin, and are regarded with greater respect and honor than their drone cousins. They have also begun to be educated in the same ways as Baedurin and Aeravalin often are, signaling that there will eventually be a time when the Risen stand beside their better kin as effective equals. For now, they serve both as squad leaders for groups of obedient Sraelvun who they understand better than their Baedurin comrades and as drone commanders, leading large battalions of these Sraelvun forces into battle.
While still not possessing the raw strength or the extreme intelligence of their Baedurin and Aeravalin progenitors, the Risen are far more capable of applying the savage and ferocious strategies that they invent.
- Unit Size: Small
- Unit Availability: Uncommon (some, replaceable, enough to support)
- Unit Experience: Veteran
- Equipment: Spiker Rifle, Drone Armor
- Combat Function: The Risen-Sraelvun utilize the innate cunning associated with their kind and their greater physical and mental prowess to see through plans that are often 'outside of the box'. While an individual Risen is only slightly stronger than the average human, they make up for this by surrounding themselves with lesser Sraelvun who follow their orders with obedience and talent. The close association that the Risen have had with the other Sraelvun has made them innately better at gauging the different ideas, movements, and capabilities of the drones.
Risen-Sraelvun who serve as drone commanders rarely find themselves at the forefront of combat, usually staying back somewhat from the immediate fighting to better coordinate the movement of different squads of Sraelvun, and to better serve the Warmachine as a whole. It is not uncommon for these Risen-Sraelvun led drone battalions to prove support to the more dangerous Baedurin Brutes, or other armed Bryn'adul groups.
- Formidable Form: The Draelvasier overall as a species can be considered tough. The Draelvasier like their host Tathra have a hefty constitution with strong bones and durable skin.
- Rabid: The Sraelvun are agile and have long claws for nails. This allows them to climb walls and ravage enemies. The Risen share this quality.
- Cunning - The Risen-Sraelvun can often find a solution to a problem even when given nothing. It will not be the best solution, but it will probably also not be the worst.
- Stand Alone - Without the backup of the Sraelvun drones or others of their kind, each individual Risen is no more dangerous than a particularly strong man with a gun and claws.
- Inheritance - While not universal, some Risen-Sraelvun may possess the innate weaknesses of their progenitors towards either heat or cold.
