NOTE: AS ORGANIC AS THIS MAY LOOK, IT IS AN ARTIFICIAL WEAPON MORE AKIN TO A CLONE TROOPER THAN A CODEX-QUALIFYING SPECIES

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Rûk-tum'dad: Within the vast exterior shell of Rûk-in'rhama are several dozen massive tentacles known as Rûk-tum'dad, each ten kilometers wide and capable of stretching to become nearly a thousand kilometers long. The Rûk-tum'dad are most commonly used as propulsion for Rûk-in'rhama, the tips of which can manipulate the gravity of planets and stars to launch itself forwards and control its trajectory to best impact its target. However, the Rûk-tum'dad cannot alter the speed of Rûk-in'rhama while it travels between sources of gravity (though it can maneuver itself at its present speed).
  • Additionally, the Rûk-tum'dad serve as Rûk-in'rhama's primary offensive armaments. Once Rûk-in'rhama has lined up with a planet, it moves its Rûk-tum'dad to enter the planetary atmosphere and collide with its crust, often resulting in massive shockwaves whose scale depends on the thickness and hardness of the planetary crust it impacts, as well as the presence of water or other liquids. Rûk-tum'dad have incredibly high heat tolerance, negating the threat of magma-filled oceans and planetary cores. In fact, the Rûk-tum'dad become permeable in the presence of high temperatures, allowing for the absorption of heat that Rûk-tum'dad feasts on.
STRENGTHS
  • Planet Consumer: Rûk-in'rhama feasts on extremely hot material, preferring especially the cores of planets. Such a process, commonly referred to as "planet shatter", involves its Rûk-tum'dad penetrating the planetary surface and extracting the heat from its core, releasing excess heat into the atmosphere to fry most planetary life and spreading its Rûk-tum'dad outwards in all directions from the core to fracture the planet into many smaller pieces.
  • Hard on the Outside...: Rûk-in'rhama's massive, two kilometer thick spherical shell of resilient bone is nearly impervious to most common weaponry with the exception of Base Delta Zero operations and the galaxy's most powerful or numerous armor-piercing armaments.
WEAKNESSES
  • Soft on the Inside: Rûk-in'rhama's innards and organs wrapped inside its shell are relatively soft and pliable compared to the rigid shell, much like a hermit crab or nautilus. The several dozen eyes on the exterior of Rûk-in'rhama's plated mandibles are especially vulnerable, capable of blinding and disorienting the creature for several minutes if even a single eye is destroyed. Additionally, should a skilled captain be lucky enough to fire a volley of proton torpedoes inside Rûk-in'rhama's mouth and all the way into the inner portion of its throat, it would likely burst one of many major blood arteries located in the areas and result in a prolonged and painful death by internal bleeding if not stymied in time. Similar calamities can occur if other circulatory or respiratory organs are damaged.
  • Brittle: Rûk-in'rhama's exterior shell is made almost entirely of bone sheathed in a very thin layer of flesh. As a result, very large or extremely powerful armor-piercing weaponry can potentially create cracks in the shell that can be exploited by bombers and small ships to reach its throat and vital organs.
  • Dragster Beast: Rûk-in'rhama is incapable of slowing itself down without a gravitational pull, requiring it to travel adjacent to planets rather than across them to avoid losing speed. As a result, Rûk-in'rhama must be towed to a stop by a fleet of capital ships thousands of kilometers away from a planet it is directly targeting in order for it to impact a planet with the precision needed for a planet shatter. If such a fleet is destroyed before Rûk-in'rhama is sufficiently slowed, then it may be delayed indefinetely.
  • They're Evading Our Turbolasers: While highly effective blunt force weapons against large capital ships, the slow and cumbersome Rûk-tum'dad are almost completely ineffective at striking even the slowest of ships of frigate size or smaller. As a result, a dedicated escort screen is recommended to prevent small ships from exploiting damage to Rûk-in'rhama's shell.

DESCRIPTION
(Describe some of the histories behind the submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.)
