Description: The BTI-HHCR is the newest weapon in Blas-Tech Industries stable of energy weapons. Taking a nod from the sustained energy weapons found on some ships from the Clone Wars and even larger scale platforms, the researchers at BTI sought to miniaturize it. Realizing that on such a small scale they couldn't keep up the sustained blasts that much larger ships could, the instead focused on how to keep the weapon cool for small "burns," as they called the blasts. These "burns" could easily punch through armor and tear through any soft target. Upon testing of the weapon though, they found that the "Plug N Fire" energy cells could easily power the weapon, but the rifle itself would melt from sustained use. Thus a coolant tank was put in which made the weapon rather hefty, as well as a three second cool down period in between each shot. This limited it's ability in a quick fire fight, but the devastating power of the weapon was balanced out by these drawbacks.

With a range comparable to that of the BTI-CC13, and the ability to punch through most targets, the weight and the cool-down period are perfect balances to a weapon with such stopping power. The Hyperion rifle also possesses a sustained burn function that allows for one powerful shot of 15 seconds that requires both the coolant tank and the power cell to be full to be used. If the power cell isn't full the weapon won't be able to do this, if not enough coolant is in the tank the weapon will most likely melt or explode. It comes with all the standard attachments of most Blas-Tech weapons, and hopes to fill a niche market for all nations that purchase from the company.

@Cade Lee

Given the sheer power of this weapon even with drawbacks, I don't want to see a grenade launcher attached to it.

Too much uber in one weapon. Take that off and I'm happy. Otherwise, it's balanced enough for me to approve it.
