STRENGTHS
While the X-Wing and Y-wing offered flexible aircraft to use in close air support and basic strike missions, and the K-wing was more than capable of unleashing hell on an enemy ship or position, Incom-FreiTek-Koensayr Incorporated wanted to create a mass-produced yet highly capable fighter/bomber to bridge the gap between the dedicated fighters and fighter-bombers of the former, and the dedicated strike aircraft of the latter. The end of this effort was a modern version of the BTS-A2 Long Range Strike Fighter, the H-wing.
Featuring all the strengths of the ancient fighter, as well as all the creature comforts, upgrades, and necessary components required to match it up against modern fighters, the H-wing combines a highly maneuverable fighter with internal armament bays capable of holding nearly as much ordnance as the K-wing, though the ordnance is limited in size and weight. Also an addition is an astromech port in the pilot's compartment, allowing for a much higher jump range than a small and limited navicomputer. All in all, the H-wing makes for a versatile killing machine and an opponent not to be trifled with, more than ready to serve as a frontline strike fighter of the men and women of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force

STRENGTHS
- Bring the Thunder: The two munitions launchers on the H-wing are capable of holding nearly as many weapons as the venerable K-wing, though these are limited to a certain size as they are held internally. Combined with the medium laser cannons on the turret and the prow-mounted Ion Cannons, this makes the H-wing a significant threat to any enemy that might cross its path.
- Float like a Butterfly: Though it's not fast at all, the H-wing has a battery of advanced maneuvering/RCS jets, allowing it to be surprisingly nimble for its size and role.
- Slow as a Turtle: Some of the H-wing's test pilots complained that, despite its nimbleness, it's slow as a planetoid. Of course, this is a huge hyperbole, but it doesn't change the fact that the H-wing is very slow compared to some of its compatriots. You might be able to dodge the enemy and ruin his day but you won't be running anywhere very fast.
- Loss of Fire Control: Because of the complexity of the targeting and firing control systems used in the fighter, the fighter requires a dedicated gunner to operate the turret and a dedicated bombardier for the Ordnance Launchers. If one or both of these were to be incapacitated or killed in the course of a batte, the H-wing would lose a massive portion of its combat capability.
