HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Originally produced as a timeslot filler between Grandstand, a popular music program, and Read it with Rhodney!, a Sports program about the weekly Podracing news, Bucky Stardust became an underground success during the Clone Wars, a program that allowed it's Republican Audience to imagine themselves as the heroes of a long forgotten conflict that distracted them from the ongoing conflict. Good vs Evil, lone space cowboy vs xeno scum.
While the program originally ran into the Imperial Era, it became increasingly hard to find a broadcast of it as the Empire gained more ground, before finally it being formally banned as 'Republican Propoganda.', making it practically impossible to find. It was only after the fall of the Empire that the original cast pushed for a reunion movie, as a symbolic gesture to mark the return of the Republic.
