SULLUST
SCNN General Headquarters
Outside

When creating the project for the main headquarters of Sullust Central News Network, Aneya had but one wish -- she would want to have an outdoors area designated for work and meetings. Of course, yes, that 'outside' had to be artificial and not quite the same as a real outdoors area would be, but at least it felt a lot like a real thing. And that's all Aneya had wanted.

She loved working outside. Had she been given the chance, she would have wanted to grab an outdoor office and enjoy that. She would have managed to do so, had Xander not come up with different plans. While the two were indeed business partners and founded the company together, the man had a slightly larger say over such things, given his high position in the corporation.

"No high-ranking official of SCNN will have an office outside. It's not a good idea to send you to work outside and give off such an unwanted vision of our company," he'd said. And although Aneya thought him to be correct at that, she still would have wanted to have one. Guess she just had to bring a lot of plants to her office to make it feel like something outdoorsy.

But now she was actually in the outside meeting centre and she loved it. There was a meeting coming with one from the Cerberus Corporation. It was a relatively new company, but it was similar in size to the Sullust Central News Network -- which wasn't really big.

Aneya had heard it mainly worked with the Galactic Alliance, so that's all she really needed to know other than the fact that it worked with structural engineering and housing and things along these lines. It could definitely provide the company with some help.

SULLUST

Since the establishment of Cerberus Fortris had been a busy man, or at least he was trying to be. He’d seen to the ordering of inventory, the securing of credit loans and most of all the spread of his companies status throughout Sullust and Alliance space. So naturally when the word of a potential contract had reached his ears he had organised a shuttle and headed off to the meeting in person.

The current headquarters of the SCNN was a building that rivalled many others on a planet of sub-terrain wonders, yet it was as Sullustian as it possibly could be, stocky and square with very little to make it bounce out again the rocky backdrops of the world around it. For Fortris however it was a perfect symbolism of why he founded the company he did, a great example of construction glory.

As Fortris entered the meeting area he nervously straightened his attire, trying to look as professional as possible. The SCNN was his gateway to something bigger, the chance to propel Cerberus outside of the little bio-dome it called home.
His eyes fell on the woman before him and he swallowed his nerves.
“Hello.” He extended a hand. “My name is Fortris Sonn of Cerberus.”

Xander, the CEO, was usually the one handling such meetings, but that day was different -- the man was away on a conference and since Aneya was the only high-ranking officer available at that moment, the girl had been given the responsibility of meeting with the representative of the Cerberus Corporation and hopefully sign a contract with them.

It was a huge responsibility and definitely not something the young girl could handle. However, she would give her best at it. She'd even put on a better than usual gray formal outfit.

And then the man arrived.

"Hello. Nice to meet you, Mr Sonn," she said as she stood up from behind the table and moved over to the man, extending her arm to shake hands with the man. It had started. Now she just had to make it to the end without any problems, awkwardness or drama. One would think that since she was a boss and worked in journalism, she wouldn't make any mistakes at conversations.

Well, that was a huge misconception.

"I am Aneya Maev, but you may call me Aneya."

She would then gesture for the man to sit behind the other side of the table. Business was a thing completely new to Aneya, so she was hoping for the best. Meetings were a thing Xander was good at, not her. She was used to leading her team, not making new contacts.

She held herself well. As well as anyone that he had trained with at the university, however this was different then the usual boasting runs that the students would partake in during off-hours, the constant attempts to one up each other pleasantly absent from the feeling in the media facilities impressive office.

“Thank you Aneya, it is a pleasure.” He flashed a smile as he took her direction towards the opposite side of the table she had taken for herself. “You don’t have to stick with Mr Sonn either, my brother takes preference to that. Just Fortris will do.”

He put his hands in front of him and gave a relaxed look across the table, hopefully to Aneya’s mind at ease that he was here to do this as easily as possible. Especially as at the end of the day he needed this as much as anybody else.

“So it has come forward that we maybe able to help each other moving forward,” He tried not to move his gaze. “Having potential allies on Sullust would be a huge boon for myself as I’m sure it would be for the SCNN.” Oh by the Force he just used the word ‘boon’. He almost flinched.

"Indeed, the galaxy is a cruel place at times like these and allies are always appreciated," Aneya said. She didn't really sound like most of the people around her age. She'd learned a lot and her studies had slowly turned her into a more mature person than she should have been. But people trusted her enough and that was all she needed.

She smiled at the man, trying to seem as friendly as she possibly could. Oh kark, she was struggling with this meeting. Had Xander been there, she wouldn't have had to do that. But she had to get over with it.

There were four glasses on the table, all filled with water, and Aneya took a sip from the one closest to her. These glasses were always filled when there were any meetings coming. There were always two extra glasses, just to be sure.

"So, I hear Cerberus makes great buildings," Aneya said, trying to ease into the business talks. She didn't really know how these meetings were supposed to go, so she tried to do what she thought would be the logical thing. And that logical thing was to start talking about business.
