Bulwark Combat Droid

Intent: To create a cheap and heavily armed security/combat droid to interested parties in direct competition with established droid producers.

Description: Realizing that the company is now able to expand in other directions, Tenloss, guided by Popo, opted to combine both the Droid and Defense industries under one roof and created the Bulwark Combat Droid.

The Bulwark is capable of both combat and security roles and is outfitted accordingly. Utilizing two repeating blasters mounted on each arm and protected by durasteel plates, the Bulwark is more than a match for dealing with the unlucky burglar or infantry in the field. The droid's Class 4 brain allows the machine to differentiate targets from friendlies on the battlefield and react accordingly. Also, due to Tenloss' efforts at recycling metals and materials recovered from the junk fields of Raxus Prime, the droid is remarkably cheap when compared to other droids of this class.

Unfortunately, there are downsides to the design. The lack of heavier weapons prevents this model from engaging well armored targets. Also, the weight of the armor slows the droid down somewhat. Finally, while officially cited as “safe” by both Tenloss and Galactic standards, the droid is entirely made up of recycled materials. This included the droid's processor brain. Tenloss' methods of harvesting Junk Droids and repurposing the parts has caused an unwanted side effect: The memory wipe utilized by the Corporation's staff isn't always effective, causing some droids to spontaneously recover segments of memory and, occasionally, free will. If and when this happens, the droid may become homicidal and attack anything in sight, including “friendlies”, as it reverts back to becoming a Junk Droid.

I don't see anything wrong with this. I like the inclusion of the "mental issues". Adds some unique flavor.
