- Beautiful: The sleek design of the Burra Starfighter makes it less obvious that it is a ship with combat capacities which makes it easier for it to find safe harbour in most spaceports and spacestations
- Hard to bring down: Fast, maneuverable and with tripled shields, it is hard to bring the Burra fighter down as it can often avoid being hit through speed and maneuvering and when it gets hit, it can usually keep going. With triple shields, two can recharge its energy while the third one is in active use.
- Mines: With a reasonable number of heat seeking mines, the Burra Starfighter can be deadly when helmed by a creative pilot.
- Squad size: The Burra Starfighter is not usually sold in batches but rather to single wealthy individuals and has a price range more adapted for those purposes. This means that it can be hard and very expensive to amass a fleet of these fighters. It's heavy use of mines also makes it hard for this fighter to fight at peak efficiency near other friendly fighters without the same protections as this one.
- Armaments: In order to deal direct damage, this fighter has limited means since it is only equipped with twin lasers and a few proton torpedoes. The reason that it can compete with other fighters is that it has mines - but those can be avoided by not going near them.
- Limited arms: Both the proton torpedoes and the heat seeking mines come in limited supply. For extended fights, the Burra Starfighter pilot may find themselves in deep trouble once they run out of these weapons and only has a twin laser to rely on.
The Burra Starfighter is a ship manufactured by Firaxan Industries and has primarily catered to wealthier individuals who wants to combine safety with speed and travelling in style. For these purposes, the ship serves well. That does not, however, mean that it would not do well in fulfilling its real role: That of a starfighter.
With multiple defence mechanisms, the ship is well equipped for extended fights - to an extent. It is armed with mines which will pursue other fighters which comes near them while leaving the Burra alone. This allows it to create a field within which it can be well protected. However, once the Burra Starfighter runs out of mines, it will have little more to contribute with in a space battle.
Unlike many other fighters, the astromech socket is built into the cockpit and can be staffed by a person (preferably a small person) instead. This has the drawback of needing the astromech needing to work through hatches if it wants to access the outside of the ship.
