Private Business as Usual

On Taris in the Allied families Head Quarters district on the coast of the Tarisian Sea, at the top of the Werr HQ.

Aurine paced in the ornate transparisteel roofed board room with a great view of the sea waiting for the others to arrive. Illithor had sent a message that he had a potential partner that would expand the allied families access to various things. The Werr family had been the first to start the trios adventure almost 1,300yrs prior, it was only fitting that the family would hold the meeting.

The two aids sat on either side of her chair while Aurine paced and starred over the now mostly ecologically restored Tarisian sea. The Tel'alith family and their infinite quest of scientific knowledge has had it as one of their side projects. Du'thra had for a long time helped the other two test things along with making engines & modifying them, but has now branched into full shipyard production.

Today would be another of business, deals, and learning. Whenever the others arrived for the talks.

A relatively large, yet surprisingly sleek and ultramodern looking military vessel bearing the insignia of not just the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, but bearing also the personal emblem of the Head of House Nargath; the Marquis of Valkan, arrived in orbit of Taris, with a smaller troop transport ship leaving the ship's hangar and descending into orbit, bearing the same insignias and emblems to differentiate itself from any of the usual ships the N&Z Employed.

As the Troop ship landed near the HQ of the companies the N&Z had agreed to meet with, the vessel's bay door lowered, with a whole detachment of men clad in heavy white armor stomping down the door in perfect unison, followed by a single man bearing several golden insignias on his armor and clearly in a commanding position; a Centurion among the Valkan Guards, who quickly motioned the detachment to spread out into two lines with their weapon presented as a man dressed in the most magnificent purple, black and gold descended from the bowels of the ship.

"Centurion Livicus, at ease," The Marquis nodded calmly towards the Centurion as he looked at the building where he would be meeting the representative of the union of three families and their corporate power held within the Empire of the Lost. No doubt these families will be cautious, because they would be negotiating with a corporation that had maybe not the same longevity as their companies did, but its origin may very well be older than their own, it's status on the galactic scale far beyond their reach and its influence even in the very empire they called home had already eclipsed their own in a matter of months. "We are here as guests, no need to put these negotiations in jeopardy with a too heavy handed arrival."

"As you command, my liege," The centurion calmly responded, taking a step back as the Valkan guards lowered their weapons, yet remained straight in their lines.

"Let's go meet the representatives of this beautiful place," Tertius smiled as he took in the beauty of the Atrisian sea, walking towards the entrance of the building, hoping to be guided upon his entry...

It was a bright day, one where she had a meeting to attend... unfortunately. The lab buzzed with activity as Aleratha put away her test plates into the refrigerator unit. Always its one of them dragging me away from my research. It was true, the current lead of House Tel'alith had only called a similar meeting once. That one covered the expedited Tarisian sea restoration, along with the little bit of wild space left.

She made her way up the turbo lift to level 42, the tramway level. Stepping out unto the fairly busy level that doubled up as the secondly food court she stepped into the maglev tram. The rounded cars of the tram bore the colors of one of the families per car. She stepped into one and moments later it was speeding along the not so long distance east to the Werr's tower. Within the plaza she took one more lift to the meeting room near the top. Finally disembarking Aleratha walked into the room right past the guards who made no motion to stop her. Coming to a stop at her chair and sitting down just giving Aurine a nod.

Illithor stood near the landing complex with a couple of aides and Sephi guards. Waiting for his guest to arrive he mulled over what the other two would bring up for this level of meeting. Oh, I hope either of them doesn't try ripping my head off for this. A valid concern sometimes. A holopad dinged when a ship belonging to the N&Z corporation arrived in the system which was distinctly different from the Werr families consistent stream of Providences, Recusants, and Munificent's coming and going from WDY & WS&S facilities.

It wasn't long before a shuttle landed, offloading impressive soldiers and a prim and proper Tertius C. Nargath Tertius C. Nargath
Illithor talked to the aide closest to him along with the closest guard. "Remember we are here to hopefully broaden markets."

The gust had walked far enough away to be within earshot as one of his aides whistles to draw attention over to them, not far to Nargath's right from where he was going. Followed by a motion to veer their way as Illithor walks towards him.

Illithor prepares himself and his nerves before speaking "Hello, Mr Nargeth. Or which title would you like me to use? Follow me and we will take the Werr HQ's turbo lift to their conference room." As he spoke the group moved into the skyscraper making its way to the turbo lift and on their way up to the top of the building.

As he and his contingent were walking over towards the building, Centurion Livicus pointed out that someone was motioning them to move their way and relayed this to the Marquis, who promptly changed the direction and pace of his walk from a slow and steady pace to a slightly more brisk pace. Clearly he wasn't quite content with being motioned, but he had the good sense of taking it to heart and moving swiftly as was needed.

"Well met," A stern and somewhat militaristic nod accompanied the Marquis' response to the greeting, followed by a nod towards the Centurion, who on his turn nodded to the remaining Valkan Guards. "I'm in my capacity as Chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, mr. Du'thra. On this planet my title is just as pointless as a Hutt with legs."

Letting out a chuckle, Tertius nodded towards the man who greeted him, hoping he'd understand the joke and the implication of it, titles were after all just that: titles. he wasn't some senator or ruling lord, he was a Marquis, a jumped-up count if anything, even if it was as the head of one of the Seswenna system's most powerful families, outside of Seswenna, it was a title with little meaning besides fluff. Out here, his position as Chairman and defacto owner of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation that held greater importance and more importantly: greater influence.

"I do hope this meeting won't be as tense as you seem to be, mr Du'Thra," The Marquis joked, nodding towards Illithor Du'thra Illithor Du'thra 's seemingly nervous demeanor and poise. "Just relax, I haven't come here as some conqueror or dictator and certainly not as an imperial agent of the sort, I'm here with nothing but a propective proposal and a desire for cooperation."
