Relic of the New Republic
Abigail sat in the garden, the warm sun shining a pleasant light on her face. Anyone who knew her would have noticed that she had spent a little bit more time than usual to make sure she looked at least pretty-ish, but no-one would know why.
She had invited someone to visit her here, and although she wasn't completely sure whether the girl she had invited would come or not, after all the girl could theoretically suddenly ditch her, she had still taken a seat outside and taken the time to choose a proper outfit for once. It wasn't anything special, just a pair of paints and a shirt, but at least they matched quite well, so that was something.
She fiddled with her hair a bit as she nervously awaited her friend's arrival. She had sent her friend a message a while back, asking whether she would like to come over. So now all she could do was wait. It was finally the day they had agreed upon, so it was very likely her friend would be here soon.
Friends. Were they friends? She didn't really know to be honest. She liked to think that they were, yet she was aware that she wasn't sure whether they really were friends. After all, they had met a few times, but they hadn't ever done any... friend... things? Maybe Abby was giving all of this too much thought.
She was nervous, but also really looking forward to seeing her, [member="Aithne Charr"] , again. Now they would have proper time to talk and get to know each other a little bit better. A small smile appeared on Abby's face at the mere thought of spending the afternoon with Aithne; she was really looking forward to it.
It was never silent in the gardens, and Abigail was used to that. Animals making noise, the wind blowing through leaves... all common sounds Abigail heard throughout every day, yet now she truly heard every single one of them. Every new sound would receive Abby's full attention, for every new sound could be the sound announcing Aithne's arrival...
