Buying inactive Companies?

So, I saw in the rules that you're able to buy player owned canon companies if the player has been inactive, does this apply to non-canon companies?

Yep, done it before. You can either put up a LFG thread or PM members to see if they are willing to sell.

Considering they personally made it, I would say its a no go. Probably best to make your own at that point...

You are unable to acquire or buy a member-made company without their express permission. Even if they have been gone for years it's still their property.
