Initially constructed as a BX series Droid commando, BX-75244 received his programming from a tech that knew more about war then most. His personality that was downloaded to him has remnant traces of this tech that make him have him seem to enjoy the battle to a point that if a chance arises he wont hesitate to volunteer for the more combat focused roles.
Ripper was what the shard called it self,formerly a member of the Iron Legion now apart of BX-75244's circuitry they work sometimes as one body and mind it is rare but not impossible to have disagreements especially since Rippers more blood thirsty at times then some.
As the two distinct personalities coexist with a single purpose of serving the CIS they took the name Shocker to better signify there symbiosis, Sometimes the conversations are internal but when they become external people just hear one side of the conversation leading some to think the droids memory bank is faulty.
