As the BX-GP and B2-GP droids were reaching the hundreds of thousands in development, a new idea was created. What if a BX Commando Droid was given a shield made out of a hybrid material of both Transparisteel and Phrik, and then programmed in all forms of lightsaber combat, before being given a basic Orange Lightsaber to use as a weapon. Thus, the BX-LC was created, using these very ideas to make a Lightsaber wielding droid, meant to attack, defend against, and kill any Lightsaber wielding enemy that the Grapple Droids were unable to defeat.

- The droid has been programmed with basic offensive/defensive capabilities of all 7 Lightsaber Forms, making it very difficult to counter with a specific form.
- The Shield is made out of a combined metal involving Transparisteel and Phrik, allowing it to be very durable against both blasters and Lightsabers
- The agility of the droid has been increased, with more durable shocks in the legs, and pulsars installed in the hands to mimic Force Jumping and Pushing.
- The droid's programming to favor certain Forms can make it easier to defeat using a different form. Example being if the droid was modified to favor Form 6, then it could be easily countered by form 7 or 4.
- The Shield is only about the size of a trash can lid, meaning it has to defend itself in a rather medieval manner.
- The only parts of the droid that is made of the Transpari-Phrik material is the shield, the rest being made of Durasteel.
- This Droid, besides the Thermal Detonator it's given, has no real form of long range combative capabilities. This means it has to charge at the enemy to be effective in combat.
