Intent: To create a small, fast droid based off of the form of saurian therapod for mass production.. It should be capable of light blaster support as well as possessing a headbutting attack with a strong leaping structure and an armored dome body.

Description: The C-9 PRD was designed as light fire support units for the HNT-3 Prowler. Base off of the saurian therapod leg formation giving it a swift speed of 55 kilometers an hour. This speed was just barely over half the speed of the HNT Prowler. This posed a problem a problem with the droids intended support role making it a short ranged support droid for it's desired companion droid. Two C-9 PRD are generally deployed for every HNT Prowler though they are more often used as personal or urban patrol and assault.
The C-9 Prowler had both it's benefits and flaws. Though it was fast it was still limited to it's therapod frame. This resulted in a difficulty in turning and often led to charges and wide sweeping turns. It had little in intellectual programming being meant for fast and simple mass production. However it could communicated in binary as well as with each other to coordinate attacks.
These droids have the capacity for hive mind command to become an organised infantry. However they are to small to act as a control mind and must rely on basic commands and programmed pack hunting and combat parameters. These parameters include knowing ally from foe and bystanders. This basic programming was a key in it's mass production.
