PERSONALITY: Cabe is basically a loner, and likes to keep a low profile giving him to edge to maneuver around without drawing too much unwanted attention to himself. He as a cool and calculating demeanor which is brought on much by his mistrust in virtually everybody. He learned at an early age, if you never trust in anyone, you'll never be let down. He is also purposeful, usually letting nothing side track him from his main goal.
HISTORY: Born to a successful merchant family on the world Zolan, Cabe was spared no luxury. His family was powerful, and had a lot of friends in high places. Cabe learned at an early age that he had the gift of shape-shifting, not uncommon among his people, but he was particularly good at it. He dreamed of one day joining the Mabari, though his parents would have nothing of it. They had plans for him of their own, like continuing on the family business. Cabe, unhappy with his parents decision, began practicing in secret, whenever he got the chance. However, being that he was a Clawdite and not a Zolan, this was considered illegal outside of the Mabari. If ever he was found out, the practice of changing one's appearance was punishable by death.
Years had gone by, and after much pain and discomfort, he eventually began to build up a tolerance for it. He got so good, he began testing himself out in public, confident he was one of the best shape-shifters on the planet. However, as fun as it was, he felt lonely, not being able to share this great gift with anyone, not even his parents. At age sixteen, he shared his secret with his friend, whom ultimately betrayed him to the Zolan, for fear of the consequences. He and his parents were taken to prison, and despite his fathers political connections, nothing could be done to save them, as they were all charged with the most serious of crimes. The Zolan believed the Cassell family to be the head of an organization to overthrown the Zolan rule. Much to Cabe's disbelief, they were right, and knowing they were caught, they also confessed to the training of Cabe, only for a chance to save their son.
By the time the trials were over, Cabe at age seventeen, his parents were put to death, and because he was legally underage, and couldn't be found at direct fault of training from his parents, his punishment was to be extradited at age eighteen. While he was imprisoned, all his family's wealth fell to him, and not being able to continue practicing trade, he was forced to sell all. On his eighteenth birthday, he was sent off world to the nearest planet where he got involved with a gang of pirates. He plundered for a few years, honing his skills. On one job, he'd scored an arm bracer with holographic capabilities, and knowing this would complement his certain skills nicely, he tried to keep it for his own instead of delivering it to the captain with the rest of the bounty. Of course, someone ratted him out, and the captain confronted him, but Cabe came out the victor, and was forced to flee for his life from the vengeful pirates.
His next job, he found himself smuggling various items throughout the galaxy. His employer gave him a unique smuggling ship with a spacious cargo room, a small medbay, two quarters, one being a captain's, the other a crew, a hyperdrive, a small kitchen, and a cockpit, with room for four. The whole ship chock full of a plethora of hiding spaces. It had armored plating, and an auto target locking turret. The other nice feature, it had a fairly decent autopilot program. But he still practiced his flying, in case of emergencies.
After being employed for a few years, he got a special assignment. The customer had asked him to deliver something for him, but being full of fire whiskey, he let a little too much spill, telling Cabe that he'd be transporting a voice analyzer box and cybernetic computer implant AI to a buyer. Cabe, knowing again that he couldn't pass up such valuable tech, instead kept the merchandise for himself, disappearing with both tech and ship. Naturally, the crime boss he was employed for was not happy, and put out a bounty on his head. Now, fearing for his life at every turn, Cabe was forced to go on the offensive, and used his honed skills and new tech to assassinate his previous employer and the original buyer of the merchandise. This took months of planning, but the end result was worth it. He had a clear name, a ship, and an open life to do with as he pleased. He began to show up on the bounty hunters scene, taking in odd jobs here and there for a few years.
He took a job, a bounty on the old friend that had ratted him and his family out. It appeared he was the new leader of the Clawdite small uprising, and he had gone into hiding, and the Zolan had put a bounty on his head. He tracked his old friend down, Cabe, knowing it would be easier on him to bring his old friend in dead, had him in his sights. But somehow, the old feelings of revenge were gone. They were kids then, and this was now. Cabe pulled his sniper rifle up, and began to turn away, when it happened. Another bounty hunter had caught his old friend, and was attempting to take him in, as he was worth more alive. Cabe refocused his rifle and fired. The competitor bounty hunter dropped dead, and his friend was looking around for the source of the shot when his senses got ahold of him, and he ran back into hiding. "Good luck old friend." Cabe said as he packed up his gear.
