- Mobility - Designed to be mobile, Caden (with assistance) added on rotational wheels to the two Astromech's so that they could manage to turn around corners easy enough.
- Fighter - While not designed to fight, should the two droids feel threatened, they can very handily defend themselves.
- Personality - Due to Caden giving these two droids lots of chips to allow them rational thought, these two droids have very complex personalities (See Weaknesses)
- Personality - Due to the amount of chips in these droids, they're very independent and have very set personalities, capable of doing their own things.
- Weighty - If one of these droids falls over, good luck getting them upright without some heavy lifting equipment or the force.
- Heat Signature - Bia produces a pretty high heat signature due to the particulars of its reaction that is easily discernible on most sensors, which isn't necessarily true of other fusion generators, some which are cold-ionization fusion reactors which do not produce noticeable amounts of heat.
Caden is pretty skilled in engineering, and so decided to spend his time making his new Master a gift. That's the simple story behind it, but instead what he created was much more than a gift. It all started accidentally, Caden playing with old droid bodies that he found, learning how they worked. Eventually he began putting them back together, before realizing that actually, building droids wasn't the hardest thing in the world.
With some assistance from members of The Silver Jedi (of the NPC kind), Caden managed to fabricate and build two astromech droids and wire them, with only moderate levels of help from those at the academy. He stored them in his room until his Master was ready to see them, and while they were there, the two droids began to show their personalities. One was very chirpy, loud and liked to help while the other was much quieter and preferred being told what to do. Caden named both droids, he named the louder one Chirp (which he adopted as his own droid) and named the quieter one Mouse (which he gifted to his Master Okkeus Dainlei ).
The two droids are actually identical to each other, except the paint jobs (and obviously the annoying personality traits). While Mouse is jet black, Chirp is black & white, providing contrast. They both get on well when together, tending to work together very well. They both have the ability to hold their own in battle and both of them can survive in a firefight if required. They're both capable of flying ships from astromech sockets and both able to slice into panels. Basically they're very robust droids, capable of doing most jobs of an astromech (see R2 in the movies, if he can do it these two probably can).
