SPECIAL FEATURES

• Royal Light - Caelan's created crystal; white core with purple and then blue outer glow.

STRENGTHS

• Personalized Crystal:
  • Defense Breaker: Because of the Hurrikane crystal, the blade is strong at breaking through Force and Ray barriers.
  • Hybrid Theory: The nature of its creation has given him a direct connection to his mother, a former Jedi now deceased, and allows him a mental resource and additional strength in the Force.
• Ignition Pulse: Allows for underwater use.
• Phase Modulation: Better able to cut denser metals.
• Lance Emitter: Able to be changed to a longer, thinner blade for better cutting and piercing.
• Non-Dimetrous: Won't short out when contacting cortosis.

WEAKNESSES

• Null Zone: If Caelan takes the crystal into a Force Nullified zone, the connection to his mother will be severed temporarily, which has an adverse reaction on his mental state, causing fear to seep in.
• Ion Weakness: More susceptible to ion weaponry causing shorting out of the blade.
• Weighty: Slightly heavier than the lightsabers of others, which would make it feel odd when carried by non-offensive types.

DESCRIPTION
Caelan has used a borrowed lightsaber for an extensive period of time, but eventually, as is part of traditional training, that would change. After taking a trip to the world of Hurikane, and acquiring a purple crystal, he eventually went through the process of hybridizing the crystal by using the Force to combine that crystal with the blue one of his mother's that he'd had since he was younger. The end result was a deeply personalized crystal with a special connection to him, and a unique color output when compared to other lightsabers.

With the crystal crafted, he set to crafting the housing itself, choosing to incorporate ultrachrome for the exterior because of its lower weight. He also incorporated some silk into the grip to make it slightly more regal looking while adding a touch of softness for him when holding it. This served two purposes in his mind: 1) it made it so it wouldn't stand out as much when he was back at home on Lazerian IV, and 2) it would help to ground him in battle so that he wouldn't fall into a bloodlust like state. Essentially, the softness of the silk countered the coldness of the metal and would keep him focused on the purpose for the blades use, not on killing.

In response to repeated battles against individuals wearing beskar, Caelan approached Lazerian Dynamics to ask them to come up with ideas for improvements for a lightsaber that might make it better capable of fighting against individuals utilizing the material. Their response was the phase modulation chamber and the plasma lance emitter. In combination, they make the lightsaber heavier, but they also make it better capable of combating beskar. Unfortunately, they also make the lightsaber more susceptible to ionic weaponry.
