  Part I

  Cailen was born to Jace and Brenna Corso, a kind and hardworking pair of Anaxes natives who toiled in the shipyards. They regarded Cailen as a miracle baby after trying for several years to have a child. Jace and Brenna cherished their little family, and while the Corso's were by no means wealthy, Cailen's parents always provided for him. He had everything he needed and most of what he wanted. As a child, Cai helped his parents in Anaxes' salvage yards, repurposing ships and their technologies for the resale to the Galactic Alliance. His father always said that Cailen was a natural scrapper; his ability to discern functioning parts from faulty by touch alone was uncanny but coveted in the salvage world, where such acuity was often the difference between hundreds of credits and thousands. If you asked him, Cai would explain that his 'second sense' came in the form of tiny visions when touching certain ship parts. Some praised the young salvager despite his odd ability, but many more used it to ostracize and bully him.
  

  
  
  PERSONALITY & BELIEFS
  Cailen is a headstrong young Jedi who wishes to prove himself to his Master, his family, and his own inner voice. He is compassionate, friendly, and willing to help others in need. Cailen has a deep respect for the Force and reverence for the justice; he believes them both integral to galactic peace and stability, a beacon of light in a galaxy of darkness. For the last three years, Cailen trained as a Jedi Padawan in the New Jedi Order, but as chaos seems only to grow, he finds himself disillusioned.
  
  In 902 ABY, the young Jedi defected from the Order without looking back, absconding to the Outer Rim with a dream of restoring his faith in the Force.
