SPECIAL FEATURES

• The hilt is imbued with a combination of heavy alloys and phrik, designed to make it exceptionally durable and balance out the blade so as to avoid making it too top-heavy.
• The christophsis kyber crystal within affords the weapon greater impact than usual, making it difficult to control but deadly in the right hands.

STRENGTHS

• The Caliburn's blade profile is closer to a sword's than a proper lightsaber's, the concentrated power of the plasma and the greater weight of the blade granting it superior cutting power in comparison to other lightsabers. The christophsis crystal within only amplifies the impact of the blade, making it deceptively dangerous.
• The Caliburn's blade profile makes it stabler in clashes and defence against enemy melee attacks, as well as facilitating blaster deflection.

WEAKNESSES

• Being a broadsaber, the advantage of omnidirectional cutting is lost, requiring that a Jedi learn proper edge alignment to be able to properly wield it.
• Despite attempts at balancing out the weight, it is still a relatively top-heavy weapon, and those unused to a heavier blade will find it awkward and clumsy to wield. Generally, proficiency in Form I of lightsaber combat can help wielders in this respect.

DESCRIPTION
A design of Arthion's making, commissioned shortly before being granted the rank of Jedi Knight, the Caliburn appeals to her somewhat vain sensibilities while still maintaining the undeniable advantage that a lightsaber has over the vast majority of common blades. It is long, elegant in appearance yet fierce in battle, a contrast that reflects Arthion's own duality.
