Constantly reminded that he was inferior to the Eldorai, Calix finds it difficult to connect with the Eldorai culture and only goes through the motions, abiding by their traditions in order to conform to the society.

[ + ] Firearms training: Showing little to no aptitude for hand-to-hand combat, Calix was instead trained in firearms. While his aim is not amazing, he is at least able to defend himself should the need arise.
[ + ] Half-Epicanthix: Being half Epicanthix Calix is resistant but not immune to Force-assisted mental tricks, influence, domination, and mind reading.

[ + / - ] Half-Eldorai: Being half-Eldorai Calix possesses excellent dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination. While not as good as a full blooded Eldorai, it is still much better than a human's. However, this also means his half Eldorai body is also weaker in comparison to a human's and while he has a higher threshold for pain and is less susceptible to it than the Eldorai, it is still lower than that of a human's.
[ + / - ] The body of a child: Owing to his small size, he is able to crawl into spaces that would be otherwise too small for an adult to explore. Unfortunately, this also means that he can be overpowered with ease by an adult.

[ - ] Pain: Because of trauma his experienced early in his life, Calix has a complex relationship with pain. Sometimes he is scared of experiencing it and other times he welcomes it.
[ - ] Tires easily: Accustomed to the lifestyle of nobility, Calix has little stamina as much of his time was spent studying under the guidance of tutors.

Named after his late mother's deceased twin, Calix is the only child of Farryn Loragwyn and heir to the Eldorai noble House of Loragwyn. Despite his current status, he was born a bastard child to a dishonored noble and as a result, his early years were spent in poverty. Though his childhood was a harsh one and he would often go to bed hungry, this was the happiest time of his life save for one incident that served as a catalyst for misfortune.

When he was toddler who was barely able to walk and had only spoken his first word, he was kidnapped by faith Loragwyn - his mother's sister and his aunt - and tortured as a means to coerce his mother. While he remembers the pain that had been inflicted on him vividly he remembers little else from the incident.

Not long after his rescue, Calix's mother returned to Tygara with him to undergo a trial by combat to prove her innocence and reclaim her standing in Eldorai society. Although his mother emerged victorious and regained her status as the heir to House Loragwyn, her victory was a bittersweet one. Though she regained her standing, she would die days later from the wounds she sustained during the trial leaving Calix in the care of his grandmother.

With all of the legitimate heirs to House Loragwyn dead, the Calix's grandmother was left with no choice than to begrudgingly name him: a bastard, male half-Eldorai, her heir. According to the elderly Eldorai, House Loragwyn could not have a worse heir than Calix Loragwyn.

While his new life might have seemed an enviable one, it was also a very lonely one. With his mother dead, there was no one left to love him as his grandmother saw him as an obligation rather than as her own grandchild. In short, despite the luxuries he was able to enjoy, life with his grandmother was not a happy one. Each year spent with her was a year of feeding his hatred towards the woman.

Eventually, Calix's hatred for his grandmother came to a head when he was twelve, nearing thirteen years old when he spoke words with a strong passion, stemming from his hatred that would lead the old Eldorai to her untimely demise. Although his grandmother's death had been ruled by the authorities as an unfortunate accident, Calix had a feeling his words had been the cause of it. Suspecting himself to be sensitive to the touch of the Force but too scared to find out for certain due of the consequences he may have to face as the probable cause of his grandmother's death, his potential Force sensitivity is his biggest secret and greatest fear.

Unfortunately, the death of his grandmother did not mean his escape from tyranny as a regent was appointed for him by the Tygaran government until he came of age. Left with no other choice, Calix organized his own kidnapping in order to escape from the matriarchy that suffocated him without risking his inheritance.

Once dropped off by his kindapper Calix took on the alias Calix Lorran in an attempt to conceal his identity so that he would not have to play the part of the victim and be returned to Tygara.
