Call of the void (Blazing Chains Recruitment)

Location: Tortuga

[member="Kyle Jerhal"] [member="Leo Anubis"] [member="Flora Burn"] [member="Athena"] [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] [member="Talos"]

The call had been out far ad wide on the underground channels. The Blazing chains, an old pirate fleet from a time before the gulag plague had returned. They were lead by an obscure man named Soulfire Ticon and hungry for crew, blood and treasure. As the call went out various applicants had come to the Drunken Freighter abaord the famed pirate station Tortuga.

Now within the station Soulfire sat in silence, enjoying his drink with a few crew members as they bantered.

"New fleets comin along nicely, got two vessels to start n more comin' no doubts!"

"Yeah yeah but the Imperious is pretty karked up, we gonna need more hands to clean her up."

Soulfire leaned in now, flashing a grin across his face, black eyes staring out from beneath his dirty white cowl.

"It was designed to look karked up gentlemen, it's a decoy vessel!"

The crew blinked, understanding blossoming across their faces.

"Ahhh! Alright cap'n as you wish."

"When the new crew gettin here?"

"They'll come, all in good time. Be patient."

Kyle walked in to the sound of chatter, the source of which he quickly saw; a group of pirates. There was no doubt it was the crew of the Blazing Chains, and with them their leader [member="Soulfire Ticon"], just the man he was looking for. He gave a nod to the men as he approached, focusing his attention on the leader. "So, you lot are the Blazing Chains?" His eyes scanned them all, giving another nod, this time to himself. "I'm here to join you. The name's Kyle, and I have certain powers that could come in handy." Kyle gave a smirk to Soulfire as he grabbed a chair and dragged it across to the group to sit down. "Any questions?"

Athena watched the newcomer, a man who called himself "Kyle," studying him thoughtfully.

Now, as the cook for Soulfire -- and having been with him for only a little while -- there was no real need for the Twi'lek to have accompanied the captain aboard Tortuga. In fact, it probably would have made more sense for her to have stayed aboard the ship.

But, despite her comfort within the cooking quarters, she had felt the itch of needing new scenery, and as such came along to the bar they now sat in. And, despite the gritty and somewhat intimidating manner of the place, Athena didn't feel uncomfortable. She was about 73% sure that her captain wouldn't let anyone hurt her -- after all, she was the only one who knew how to cook well.

And so, Athena was back on Tortuga, sitting near her sort-of new captain and her sort-of new crewmates, watching a man named Kyle.

When Kyle asked for questions, the Twi'lek promptly raised her hand to catch his attention. "What powers?" She was genuinely curious to know what powers he possessed -- and whether or not it would interfere with her work.

Soulfire mtioned to the barkeep and the alien brought them a new round of drinks. He looked the newcomer up and down. A man who had powers eh? He had a cook and a handful of crew. Most of his recruits came from sprang prison ships or old lineage, back before the Sith wars, when the Chains had been a major power in the galaxy.

"Yes indeed. What powers young man. Come first tell us your name."

He motioned to his cook, pride and joy of the Crimson Pearl. Though she had not there long, her food had lifted the morale of a crew hurting for pay. No one would come close to her, or they would die.

"What draws you to our fold?"

Leo sat on the tabel just emptying his glas before the barkeep arived, he looked at [member="Soulfire Ticon"], having been the gunery officer on the crimson pearl he knew the captian a littel, thoug stil not completly understnding him, he looked as [member="Kyle Jerhal"] and smiled "any power is usefull, thoug i still prefer the power of a nice canon"

he looked at [member="Athena"] getting the feeling she fel uneasy, he clensed his mecanical hand into a fist, if anyone would try to hurt her, they would find out why he prefer it over his organic arm.

[member="Athena"] [member="Leo Anubis"] [member="Kyle Jerhal"]

"Well at any rate crew, here are my senior officers so far. Leo the gunnery officer and master of arms, and Athena, head cook. These two are not to be touched, or I'll shoot you from the airlock."

"Aye Cap'n understood!"

More crew were coming now. All manner of humanoids began to walk into the bar, easily spotting the many pointed spear sigil of the new Blazing Chains fleet. There were a few Dark Jedi, bearing cloaks of midnight black. There were some pilots, rugged and dirty in their flightsuits. Others were harder to place. Some wore Beskar gam, appearing as Mercenaries.

As they flooded around Soulfire waved them in, offering them a seat at the long steel table.

"Welcome crew. Ladies, gentlemen, there are a few among us that represent the old families of the Blazing Chains. Their ancestors sailed before we were even born, far before the Gulag plague."

Soulfire raised his glass. His message had spread farther than he thought.

"We welcome you to the fold!"

The ground shook under the weight of his steps, The crowds looked at Kezeroth in a Awe. Standing 8'5ft cover in armor Kezeroth wanted to get this over with, He wanted Riches and Blood. Walking over with a haste he approached [member="Soulfire Ticon"] not caring if he was busy or not. With a snarl he pointed a finger " Your gonna want a Heavy Lifter.. An Enforcer! Sign me up!" he said slightly excited by the chance, Though if he was denied he was thinking about killing half the room of people.

It was odd for the mandalorian to be traveling so abruptly from his shop, the massive, muscular brute walked in. His T-Visor scanning the area, his presence intimidating silent he slowly took a seat in the bar. If anyone became hostile with him, he would use his brute strength, and with his beskad (Knife made out of beskar) hack anyone to pieces. The Beskarsmith posed a question in a dark, deep voice through his helmets speakers "I am an armorsmith, weaponsmith , and an obvious warrior. I will join you if you answer me this question, how do we split the wealth?" . Everyone could tell who this zabrak was, the heavily armored warrior was a mandalorian, a culture of fearless, and legendary combatants. His armor he was wearing was made out of complete beskar, and internal durasteel padding. This alone would be useful to them, to have a muscular tank helping them out, not only this but his skills, and knowledge of crafting materials could help them just as much . What would the captain say?The Fett waited, calmy, patiently, and without fear.

"The force." Kyle simply replied, leaning back on his seat. He looked around at the many recruits gathered, giving a small smirk, mainly to himself. The Captain made a small speech, to which at the end Kyle clapped to. "Glad to be here." He said with a smile, raising a drink in the air then drinking the majority of it in one gulp. For most of the remaining time he stayed silent, observing the various people and their behaviors. He wanted to know what these people were like before he worked with them.

Soulfire smirked at Kezeroth as he barged in, mad as he was he looked stout. Stout was good.

"You are welcome then." He shot back, nodding solemnly.

When the Mandalorian merc popped his question, the captain took it as an opportunity to address the entire crew. He stood now, clambering atop the table with a swift leap and standing with his head above the others. He spread his arms wide, his black orbs staring into each of theirs and robes flowing in the ventilation shafts soft hum.

"Alas all you whom have gathered before me, know that we will have laws. No one is to kill a fellow Chain, outside of a sanctified duel to settle old scores! No one shall steal from each-other aboard the fleet. None shall enter into treachery or the aid of a major power to destroy or undermine our common goals and well being.

Each man shall be paid a fair wage at the first of the standard month. Each man shall be paid a commission of five percent per each raid, and ten percent extra if they bring us a fair target. The fleet will will take twenty percent off the top, as our operating expenses. The rest shall belong to you, our faithful warriors!"

He paused now, surveying their faces.

"What say you!"

The warrior smiled underneath his T-Visor, after hearing the speech it seemed he had come to the right place. Adventure, glory, and the honor of battle would be found here. His Bucye looked forward at the captain, with a deep voice, the warrior spoke " Then sign me up! Any fellow chains needing new weapons, or combat gear can come to my shop for a five percent discount! " . Pausing the mandalorian waited for the rest, there were a couple individuals worth joining this new alliance, OYA (good hunting) he thought. Surely the mandode would approve of this.

Athena noticed Leo clench his fist suddenly, so she reached over to pat his arm in a gesture meant to calm him. She also flashed a small, gratuitous smile at her captain when he declared her off-limits; seemed she was valuable, after all.

When the man, Kyle, explained that his powers were basically the Force, she nodded her head in understanding. That made sense. Especially considering the amount of folks running around as cyborgs or witches. Though, perhaps the witches got their powers from the Force too?

As the cook pondered this (she had not met a witch, only heard of them), tuning out everyone, her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by two new arrivals: a Mandalorian and a giant! This man was huge! Gigantic! Athena had never seen anyone like him before!

She soon shut her mouth when Soulfire began to lay out the rules for the new recruits. Waiting until the Mandalorian had finished speaking, the cook quickly raised her hand again. "Kitchen off-limits," she articulated clearly. Of all the things that she'd come across, that was the one thing the female was adamant about -- the kitchen was her haven, her baby. Her kingdom. "No one in there but me. And my wuostkonu. Invite only. Yes?" Other than that, Athena could care less what everyone else did.

Kezeroth smiled under his armor and let out a roar that sounded cheerful but yet had bloodlust, Walking over to the bar he pushed two humanoids out the way and ordered a drink. It was time to celebrate and relax. He needed it after all, hunting bounties and massive creatures for money was tiring and boring. Now he could enough two things at once... Killing and Stealing. It would be like old times when he worked for One Sith, Though he hated the Sith he loved how to stole what they needed and killed who they wanted.

Leo relaxed and opend his hand as [member="Athena"] pad his shoulder he smiled at her slitchly and gave a smal nod.
He heard [member="Soulfire Ticon"] say they were of limmets, whit mad him smile slithy, seems we are needet, he touged.
He turnd to the cook "dont't worry about peopel in the kitchen, i dont think they will have time to bother you anyway, wel not fore a wile at least"
