Call Signs

Hello everyone,

Firstly, will we be having them?

Secondly, there are two ways to do this, one is to create one yourself, or (what I do prefer) is that you gain your call sign over the course of RP.

A call sign is generally given to you by your colleagues and you do not have a say in it. And more than likely you will not like it. (hence the fun)

We could do this through nomination of a person and their proposed call sign or simply if someone cames up with one, to have it 'stick'.

I think this would be the funnest route. Earning our callsigns will be 100% more satisfying than just making our own.

I definitely feel that the pattern of gaining your call-sign, at least in RP, is more than half the fun! Part of my favorite bits of RP is the random and things that will stick to a character without hte writer's say-so.

Like, I know when I did a D20 style RP, we all got the callsigns added to our character regardless of our online handle (it was a mIRC D20). So that was fun.

Feel free to start up a thread in the Lecture Hall area, do some sims with all the cadets, trash talk and getting the space time in a video-sim would be a fun read!
