Calm before the storm.

Spencer sat in the middle of an abandoned beach on Corellia. She looked out towards the ocean and enjoyed the soft breeze. She had sent a message to her mother like she had been told to do. Everything that had happened at the wedding had been bothering her for some time. She didn’t like that the wedding was ruined and she didn’t enjoy feeling like her father had blamed her lover for it. Closing her eyes she sighed softly and thought about the rest of the stuff that had been piling up in her life.

Banished from Dathomir and now her father probably didn’t want to talk to her. Pulling her knees closer to her she buried her head into them. The man was too busy with his new wife and his new life. She was crushed from how things had turned out. Either way, at least she had Ashin, Aston and her mother. Looking back up, she wondered where the woman was. It was unlike her to be late or was Spencer just too early?

Her daughter's invite had taken Satara a bit by surprise. Not so much the invite for it was what she had told her during the Echani visit but the place was non a common one for her. It took her a bit of time to get there though. Travel wasn't that common on Dathomir though when there was a will, there was a way. And Satara fit that bill. Making her from the transport to the beach where Spencer was waiting for her, Satara took in the sights. It was an odd planet for the Witch to see. So much water.

Finally, she reached the beach, saw her daughter sitting down. There was no chance of her missing the blonde hair. It was unique to her of all her daughters. Spencer? She called out through the Force, walking towards her.

Over here Ma’dri…

Spencer looked up from her knees after hearing her mother in her head. The woman had to be close there was no doubt about it. Respecting her mother’s place, Spencer stood and bowed slightly. Being banished was something that hurt, but because she couldn’t see her mother when she wanted hurt even more. The adult thing to do was to remain standing where she was, but Spencer was below that and instead she ran to her mother wanting the physical love that she had been missing from the woman since she had discovered her banishment from the clan.

“I’m so sorry.”

It was the only thing she could think of saying at this time. She wondered if she was as much of a disappointment to the woman as she was to her father.

Her brows arched at the bow. Satara shook her head and hurried over to her, meeting her half way. Finally close enough enough, she just hugged her youngest, the words making her sigh. "Shhh. I've lost too much of our family. I'm not losing you. I'm not losing anyone else anymore." That much Satara was sure of as she kissed the side of her head. She meant what she said. As much as the Ma'tra had once been a warrior, so focused on saving her kind from the dark ones, knowing just how dangerous the darkness really was, she was now a mother and a grandmother and a greatgrandmother. It was about family, blood or not, about family.

Satara didn't let go of Spencer for a while longer. She couldn't. Already, her daughter was forced to leave home due to the choice she made. Now, she just wanted to hold her for a bit more, not think of what had happened.

Her mother’s hug was always comforting. It was home enough for her and she fought back tears while her mother just hugged her. It was a reminder of how young she was dealing with everything that was going on around her. Three homes lost and a bounty on her head for her choices. It was starting to become too much for her to handle. Spencer held tightly to her mother for a few moments more seeking to pull some strength from her. Once she felt strong enough, she pulled away Ashin’s words of her no longer being a child echoed in her mind.

“But I am lost, I’m not allowed home with you, I left the Order and now I don’t belong on Eshan with Kamon.”

She hung her head trying to not feel so pitiful, though it was easy with her mother here. The woman was one of the few that could see the girl as she was. She still attempted to grasp at the strings that linked her to her childhood despite it being something less than grand.

Satara pulled her head back, looking at her daughter as she the girl spoke of being lost, not allowed to go home with her, all the while the Witch's palm gently caressed her cheek. Though she stopped when she heard of not belonging on Eshan with Kamon. When she was no longer welcomed in the Singing Mountain, and the Nightsister territories were no place for any of her children, at least she could rely on her being with Aston and Kamon.

"What do you mean, you don't belong on Eshan with Kamon? He brought you to Dathomir, everything seemed perfectly fine between the two of you." She insisted on knowing this. Her entire body language in attention, demanding to know what had happened, what had made Spencer say such a thing.

Spencer nuzzled her mother’s hand for a moment; she could feel the confusion in the woman and knew that she had to explain herself. Spencer felt like a child at this moment, she felt as if she was telling on her father. Though the more she thought about it the more she couldn’t blame the man. He was starting a new life with a new woman and he would have his perfect kids and they would be able to experience having a father – having their birth father. Kamon helped give her life, but Satara’s mate Madoc was her father.

“Everything was fine until his wedding. I brought Ashin with me, I wanted her to meet Kamon and I had hoped he would have played nice. She was willing to try with him despite the way he felt about her.”

She stopped for a moment and then looked up at her mother, the hazel eyes slowly shifting to green as she got emotional. The soft reflection of her green flecks intensified as her eyes watered.

“The first thing out of his mouth was threats expecting her to do something. She was there to support me in meeting a part of my family that I had never met before. Ashin mingled she even took his threats with grace. Why can’t he just accept that I love her?”

The child started to sob quietly as she shook her head and covered her face with her hands.

“He’s marrying someone and he’s just going to forget about me, he spent two seconds with me and all he did was accuse and threaten my date. He-He- didn’t even acknowledge me beyond that…”

Everything had been fine before the wedding. Spencer had brought A... Ashin? Satara blinked suddely. She's heard that name before. "Ashin Varain? You're with the Empress of the Sith, hi'ja?" It was news to her. The young Sith Mikhail had come to Dathomir and told of the name, spoke on the woman's behalf. Then she did not know who the woman was, other than her role among the Sith. She still paid attention to the story, her eyes going wide as Spencer told her of what Kamon had done. At his claiming, no less.

So, he had set out to be claimed by a female but he spent a happy moment making threats at the Sith and provoking her. Satara understood to a degree that it was a Sith and thus should be an enemy. But this was his daughter. Satara remembered all the things he had said to convince her to have the twins and how he had been on the day when he finally met them. And now this.

Pulling away from Spencer, Satara began to pace for a bit, putting everything into her mind. Kamon, a Jedi, had rejected his own flesh and blood. Provoked a Sith that did him no harm nor did she appear to want to. Satara remembered Milan then, when he came to her after falling to the darkside and introducing her to a former Nightsister. He was still her son and she still loved him.

"I can't believe that man. He practically begged me to be the mother of his children. He came back to be with you and Aston and now this?" The pacing moved faster now and the line shorted, her turning back more oftne. She was more than upset. She was furious right now and that was not something she should have been. She knew that. She just couldn't help it. Satara had lost far too much family, she was different than she used to be. And Kamon Vondiranach had made a grave mistake in the eyes of the Witch.

One she would not forgive. Ever.

Inhaling deep, she finally calmed down and returned to her daughter, pulling the girl's hands off her face, kissing her cheeks, one by one. "What Kamon did is unforgivable. Family comes before all others. I don't care if he's a Jedi and you've fallen. You are his daughter. We do not choose who we love, we never could. He should have stood by you when the Singing Mountain will not. He was supposed to be your father. Madoc will be furious when he finds out." The man that did raise Spencer and Aston as his own. He had once been upset for what she had allowed Kamon to do but he never took that to the children. He was not that kind of man. He accepted both as soon as they were born. That was how Satara saw fathers to be. Her own was no different and having Madoc made her so happy her children were not punished for her sins, not given the kind of father they deserved.

She hugged her again finally, letting the girl rest all her sorrows on her mother's shoulder.

“Ah, yeah Ashin Varanin is the woman that blood trailed me…and well is my lover…”

Spencer grinned sheepishly; it was minor detail she had left out with her mother. The woman she was dating was indeed the Dark Lord of the sith, she was the same woman that had blood marked the young blonde's lip and taught her to do the same. Reaching up, she touched the spots and smears from the mark and smiled. If Ashin wanted too, she could find Spencer in a heartbeat. Spencer grinned sheepishly; it was minor detail she had left out with her mother. The young girl cringed slightly as she felt her mother’s fury rise. It didn’t take an empath to know that the woman was pissed beyond belief at the man she allowed to impregnate her. Spencer had always had her mother and Madoc, but Kamon was someone new to the picture. It didn’t take a genius to know that she had survived for 18 years without him and she could do so again.

“I just don’t understand how you let someone like him do this to you? I wish I was Pa’tre’s daughter. He wouldn’t have made me feel this way and he would have accepted or at least give Ashin a chance.”

Spencer hugged her mother tighter as she cried full out. So many things she didn’t understand especially why her mother would agree to allowing Kamon to create them with in her. The thought of it made her hold her mother’s clothing in her fists. She was angry and hurt. Spencer remembered the invite she heard through her brother’s head for him to join their father to the smaller private event to see the vows exchanged. The invitation wasn’t extended towards her and the man didn’t pay attention till she had already made her way out. His words empty on her mind as she knew no matter what her home would never be Eshan.

So... her daughter was involved with the Empress of the Sith. The Dark Lord of the Sith. Satara didn't see that one coming. Not in a million years. However, her fury was directed towards the Jai Master right now and the Witch couldn't truly process this bit of information right now.

And she was furious.

Her daughter kept focusing on her birth father as well. How could she let him do this to her? Allow him? Satara caught her daughter's face with hands, kept her close to her. "Don't do that. I do wish Madoc was your birthfather but that doesn't matter. He is your father. He loves you as much as he loves your sisters and brothers. He would do anything and everything for each and every one of you."

Would Madoc have accepted the Empress and given her a chance? "He would accept that this is your choice as I do. The clan may never accept the darkness or the Sith at your side but we've lost too much to discard anyone we love." With nothing more to say in that moment, Satara hugged her daughter back and held her, closing her eyes. She felt the anger linger away, felt the love she felt for spencer take her over. Usually, Madoc had that power over her, could always bring her back from the edge but her daughter needed her now.
