Camp Chaos (PM for invite)

Location: The woods, Ithor
Late afternoon, a few hours prior to sunset

The woods were eerily quiet; Cassia was enjoying her hike through the wilderness of Ithor. The teen paused to pull out her datapad, she had a very mysterious map and she took a look at the coordinates marked for her. Cassia’s blue eyes looked outwards towards the horizon, she must be getting close now, and she’d been hiking for hours. Perhaps it was a bit strange to be making her way into the woods as dusk approached, but she was here for what was described as a weekend camping trip for teens. It was billed as a time to relax, socialize, and get away from the responsibilities of life. Most of her time had been spent training, learning the ways of the force and gaining the knowledge of the witches. The teen had been feeling a bit lonely lately as well, having left her siblings and friends back home on Bestine. A chance to be around others the same age would be a welcomed change.

She tied her brown hair back and stuffed the datapad back into her rucksack. Cassia loved to wander about, she was no stranger to long hikes and sleeping out under the stars. She wore a black tank top, tawny brown pants and boots that came up to the knee. Cassia had brought along her trusty leather jacket, but currently it was tied around her waist. Long hikes meant traveling light, and she carried only the essentials; flint, small hatchet, a one person tent and sleeping pad. The trees swayed lightly in the breeze, and Cassia could hear the sounds of a river up ahead. The instructions she had received stated that there would be space for two campsites, one on each side of the river. She could feel the excitement and the nerves starting to creep up on her.

A smile grew on her face as she reached the river; a log had conveniently fallen across the width of the river, making for a decent bridge. She hopped deftly up onto the log and walked her way to the other side, there was a fire pit, but that was all that would identify this area as a campsite. With a shrug she set down her bag and started to pitch her tent, she figured that she may as well claim this area for the girls. With her tent complete she tossed her bag inside and looked around, the area really was quite lovely. She knew that darkness would be falling upon the camp in a few hours, and she hoped that the other campers would arrive soon… she didn’t want to be stuck out here alone. The growing dusk meant that it was also growing colder, the breeze now carried a bit of a bite as it went past.

Cassia gathered up some sticks and dropped them into the fire pit. It did seem a bit odd that she was out in the middle of nowhere, but someone had taken the time to set up a small sitting area around the pit. There wasn’t time to think about such things now; she needed to start making a fire. The sound of a branch snapping behind her made the teen jump, and she spun around… perhaps someone was nearby.

Xavka growled in the back of his throat as the large bundle on his back caught in yet another branch. The only things stopping Xavka from following the path marked on the datapad he clasped in hand, swearing at every tree around him before turning around and leaving the planet was that he had no means of planet at the moment, due to stowing away on the ship that brought him here, and that the map he was following had come with a message promising a relaxing time, something he needed considering he had just escaped his life as a slave. Without realizing he was doing so Xavka reached up to rub at the still fresh scars that littered the right side of his face, remembering the sacrifice he had had to make in order to earn that freedom.

Stopping suddenly Xavka tilted his head as his keen sense of hearing picked up a new sound: water rushing over rocks. Glancing at his datapad for a second, Xavka confirmed that the river was to be his destination before tucking the 'pad into the bag on his back. Sighing and preparing himself to meet new people, something he felt uncomfortable with, he continued on, his bare feet making little to no sound as he did so.

It was a few minuets later, when Xavka could pinpoint that the running water he was hearing was a few hundred meters ahead after focusing, that the scent of smoke reached him. He continued to advance however he did so much more slowly, wishing to see the situation before he reacted. If it was a forest fire; flee. If it was one of the teens who would also be on this trip; observe, retreat then shore up confidence.

Stopping at the edge of the clearing, Xavka's yellow eyes flickered around, taking in the sight. A young human woman was crouching over a bundle of sticks which must of been the start of a fire considering the smell and plume of smoke. Near the pit was a small seating area and near that, a pitched tent. Shifting, Xavka made to leave but his usual skill in stealth was thwarted by something he had never had to consider on the desert world of Iridonia, a branch. A shark crack rung out and the woman span around to face him just as he sunk into the shadows.

After considering things for a few moments while he rubbed the skin under his eye (a habit he was forming, he noted with a scowl), he sighed, dropped his hand and stepped forwards, letting the woman see him. He nodded in greeting while walking towards her. When he was standing a couple of meters from the woman he bowed at the shoulders before speaking, his gravely voice sounding surprisingly loud amongst the near silent surroundings. "I'shuree tozu'meni Xavka. A pleasure, m'lady."

While he spoke he reached over his shoulder to remove the bundle on his back before placing it on the floor before following it down. Leaning back onto his hand he patiently waited for the woman before him to return his greetings.

The forest here was... sticky, her had touched a tree to lean on and look over an incline to support herself and her hand had been covered in sap. That was gross and sticky while she was moving towards the area directed on the map. She was standing there with the pack, her sleeping bag and tent plus some supplies but was wearing thick soled boots into cargo pants with pockets full of supplies and her lightsaber on her hip. For safety sake in case anything dangerous came and her arms were bare with a tank top on her while she was sweating a little. Her blue hair in small bangs stuck to her scalp.

She looked out and found the river as she got down to it and cheered to herself silently. She ran her hands through the water wiping and picking at the sap on her hand while she was working to clean her. Then she splashed some on her face while looking at the map and walking while she looked forward seeing the camp with her eyes zooming in. The jedi started walking along the rivers edge until she arrived and saw someone was already set up in the camp and had claimed a spot for them. She stood there putting her pack down and stretching while she looked out with the scars on her face and began setting up her tent.

Finnik wandered, that was about what described him the best. He never stayed one olace too long since leaving Corusacant. In truth he still didn't know where he belonged. One day this map appeared out the blue, and he packed his bag for a getaway, though everyday was a getaway for him. Eighteen and fed up with life already, that was Finnik. He'd never done anything "typical" for someone of his age. Well, okay, so he knew how to rustle up some booze when he wanted it bad enough, but for the most part, Finnik was a street rat without a real home or sense of purpose in life. The woods, well hopefully that offered an escape from if all.

A small pack with a bed roll was slung over Finniks shoulders. He didn't own a tent, so he didn't bring one. His top was layered, a t-shirt underneath a button down breathable camping shirt, a khaki color, and navy blue tactical pants which zipped off at the knees to make shorts. His hiking boots were a dark brow, and a few essentials were on his belt. A pocket knife, a small hatchet, flint and steel, and a canteen were all within reach. Stopping at the river, Finnik folded the map up which he had printed on flimsi, and stuffed it in his pocket.

Looking ahead a group was already gathering, and he pressed ahead. This was supposed to be fun, so Finnik moved ahead. Balancing across the log, the young man, teenager, came into the group where there was another male and two females. At least the numbers were even at this point, though how awkward things could get fast with teenagers around. Yup, let the teenage drama ensue!

"Looks like a few more maps out there huh. I'm Finnik, so yeah... Hi."

His bag was set by one of the logs around the fire as Finnik sat on the log, taking a drink from his canteen.

Cassia straightened up once she saw the figure of a young man approaching her. She watched him carefully, as he appeared to be of a species that she’d yet to have contact with. Though, from what she could tell, he seemed to be here for the same reason. She took a few steps towards him and offered a friendly smile as she returned the nod. Cassia tilted her head slightly when he spoke; she hadn’t understood all of his words. “Xavka? Is that your name?” She asked, taking a guess. “My name is Cassia, but you can call me Cass if you like, everyone does.”

Her attention was pulled in another direction as she spotted another young woman making her way into the camp. Cassia watched for a moment as the other girl began setting up her tent, without a word of greeting. Perhaps she had just been eager to get settled, it had been a long journey into the woods. Cassia looked over and gave a slight wave to her, hoping that the new arrival would join them once she was finished setting up camp.

Cassia’s blue eyes shifted yet again as a teenage boy was making his way over river and onto the bank with the rest of them. She had to admit that he was quite handsome, but she decided to distract herself by tending to the fire. Though she was acting busy, she listened as he introduced himself as Finnik. Cassia looked up for a moment and smile briefly. “Um, hi. I’m Cass.” She said simply, prodding the fire with a stick. It seemed that they would all have the chance to get acquainted soon enough.

Bellalika finished setting up the tent as more people were there. She had a look on her face now as she stood up and turned around walking over to the other girl while she looked at the to there. "Bellalika." She said it quickly and looked over the three of them while she was... the youngest. Compared to them and cocked her hip to the side while she was looking around the area. "So does anyone know how many were supposed to be coming to this trip?"

Xavka grunted in conformation to Cass's question before falling silent. He rose a brow slightly when a new arrival turned up but didn't introduce herself, choosing to pitch her tent instead. He nodded in greeting to Finnik as he sat. "Xavka." He said as he gestured to himself before silent again.

Growing bored of the silence he reached into the pocket of his jacket he withdrew a small metal pipe which he then began to twirl it around his fingers. Xavka's attention was returned to the group when the last of the four of them walked over and introduced herself. "The name's Xavka," he started, "and - no. No idea how many are meant to be here. How 'bout the rest of you?" His peace said he returned his attention to the pipe in his hand and began to once again twirl it around his fingers.

If there was one thing Morgana looked foward to it was time out and away from Jedi training. But to finally have a chance to be with people around her own age for a change? That was even better. Having heard through the grapevine about this little outting with others around her age Morgana had managed to convince some of the masters on Ossus to allow her this chance to be out and about for at least a few days. She needed the time anyway, making the excuse that it would help with her preperation for becoming a Jedi Knight while really it was to get away from the confining space of the Jedi Temple.
Arriving with the others on Ithor Morgana was packed and dressed for the occasion. Still wearing the scarlet colors she felt kept her unique compared to others she wore a jacket over a t-shirt with shorts and hiking boots. She had what was needed stores in her back while keeping her saberstaff strapped to her belt. When she arrived at the spot with the others she looked around and took a long whiff of the natrual air of the place. It felt so nice and serene to the point she felt like staying. She knew better, however, since there were plenty of duties to be done back with the Jedi. She would just have to savor the moments.
As she found a spot for a tent she heard the ansung leader of the group, [member="Cassia Edric"] , make the first introdctions. As others did she spoke up and said "Morgana. Forceborn. Hi." waving her hand and giving a shy but open smile.

Yeah... everyone seemed to have a tent to set up except him. The colorful girl was quiet at firsr, something seemed different about her. The other male, well there seemed to be a language barrier until he answered a question in basic, and the girl poking the fire with a stick, yeah she was cute, and trying not to look it or something. There has been another, and Finnik could not account for when she arrived, but she said hello as well. At least she had caught the round of introductions so hey wouldn't have to be made again.

"Yeah, I'm not sure how many got the map either. I'm just glad I did," he said standing up, and moving closer to the fire. There wasn't enough wood to last through the night, and since he was sleeping outside, he'd need the fire going all night. At least the area wasn't too dry, otherwise a fire would not have been the best idea. "We're gonna need more firewood. I'm gonna go get some. Who wants to come with me?"

Ahhh the buddy system, never go in the woods alone, always take a buddy. At least Finnik paid attention to that when still at the orphanage. Putting his canteen back in place he looked around hoping for a volunteer, before looking down at the cute brunette which was seemingly trying hard not to look at him.

"What do you say Cass, you wanna come?"

Hey guys gonna post in here so as to not mess up the story but Vengeance will not be popping out in the open until night fall. ;)

Vengeance had no true idea what he was doing on Ithor. It was just one of those random things. He had heard the person he had been hunting for over six years now was on Ithor but it had turned out to be a dead end. Which means it would have made perfect sense for him put Ithor in his rear view and not look back. He shook his head.

"Why am I wandering around the woods like a lost nerf herder?"

He shrugged seeing signs for a camp ground near by in one direction and a summer camp in the other. He looked thoughtfully at the sign getting an idea. He smiled realizing he could have a little bit of fun before he left. Camp grounds meant people and people meant somebody to terrorize. Terror was something he could get on board with. He looked up towards the sun.

"Well I have a few hours may as well find somewhere to kill some time."

It seemed that their campsite had filled in nicely as she looked to Bellalika and then to Morgana. Cass smiled, it would be nice to spend some time with girls her age, but there was always time for girl talk later. Cass shrugged slightly at Bellalika’s question. “I don’t have a clue about how many people are coming, but it looks like we have a good group so far.” She said with a nod. For now they all knew that they were around the same age, and had all received this mysterious map, perhaps they would be able to get to the bottom of the mystery during their stay here.

As Finnik commented about the wood supply, Cassia cast her glance down at the meager pile of sticks and a few logs… he was certainly right, it wouldn’t last long. When he asked for volunteers to go with him into the woods, Cass remained silent, her eyes shifting from person to person. She looked up a bit surprised when he called her out, but she nodded nonetheless. “Sure, I’ll go. Just a sec…” Cass nodded simply and disappeared into her tent for a moment. She opened her bag and pulled out her hatchet and a small lantern, clipping both to her belt. Ok, Finnik was just another guy… a cute one, but no reason to act flustered, right? She steeled her nerves and emerged from the tent again, and moved off towards the edge of the forest. Cass turned back and looked to Finnik to see if he was ready to go.

“Ok, we’ll be back soon.” She said with a smile to the others... famous last words?

Her eyes flicked around looking at the ones there who had arrived and after introducing herself went back towards the log sitting down as she saw another arrive. Morgana was... interesting while she looked around what camp they had setup. The other girl Cass was going off with the boy and that left her with the one who slightly didn't speak basic or chose to. She wondered who had brought them all together before rolling her shoulders and the sound of popping came to her before she was working on the fire to keep it going. "Welcome Morgana."

Morgana had continued working on her tent before hearing [member="Finnik Mann"] ention needing more wood. She was hesitant to answer, thinking she was better off getting what she needed done at the site before doing any wandering around. She shrugged it off before [member="Cassia Edric"] had spoken up and volunteered to go with him. She hoped they were ONLY going for firewood. She'd heard enough rumors and stories to know what happens when two young people go off into the woods by themselves. Although they wouldn't exactly count as 'normal teenagers' she supposed. After they left and [member="Bellalika"] had said hello to her Morgana nodded back before finally finishing with her tent. After that she found a spot next to her feelow force user who, as she could sense, was likely a knight-level fighter.
"So what made you want to come out here?" she asked, starting up a conversation. "You know who sent us the map or something? I thought it was just one of those 'come and meet new people' sort of things."
[member="Vengeance"]

Xavka, sitting quietly on his chosen log, snorted slightly at Morgana's question. "I don't know about the rest, but I have no karking idea who sent the map. Hell, I don't even know what I'm doin' here." The last sentence was mumbled as he busied himself looking through his rucksack. He gave a small shout of success a few seconds later and emerged with a bottle of cheap wine. While he opened the bottle he directed his attention the two other teens. "So, what the story for you two? What made you come 'ere?" He finished his question by taking a mouthful of wine before silently offering the bottle to the two he had just addressed.

Right so Finnik knew what this might look like, but didn't care either. I mean if anyone real thought two teens that only knew each other's first names were about to go hook up in the woods... well it was "summer camp" and all, but really!? That was a special kind of easy. No Finnik wanted to get firewood, and a shot at getting to know Cass better. Since both had their stuff set up, sort of, he took the chance.

"So you get the map out of the blue too?"

Might as well get the bantha in the room dealt with. Finnik just continued to pick up the wood they would need. The larger stuff is what he was hauling in his arm. Cass could make some headway on the tinder and kindling to feed the fire as it was needed to get the fuel caught. Once the big stuff was going though, they'd have enough to get through the night. At least Finnik knew a bit.

"And might as well tell me a bit about yourself, like where you're from, how old you are... if you feel inclined to toss your astrological sign and favorite thing to do on date in their, you could too..."

[member="Xavka Duquo"] | [member="Morgana Forceborn"] | [member="Bellalika"] | [member="Cassia Edric"] | [member="Vengeance"]

Vengeance paused as he heard a voice closer to him than the rest. He ducked behind a tree staying a good bit of distance away slinking back as needed. The comment about astrological signs and favorite thing to do on a date from the male sounding voice almost made him laugh out loud giving away his presence. Or confirming it anyway as he could get the faint presence of force signatures. From this distance it was hard to pinpoint but it was there.

He rolled his eyes but something the voice said gave him an idea. A map, something about a map. So a treasure hunt of some short was in the works. It would inevitably split them up and he would use that to have a little fun.

He looked up shaking his head. As tempting as it was to start the game now he would wait until night fall.

She had certainly noticed the looks from the other campers as the two of them had gone off into the woods. But they really did need firewood, and each of them truly were doing the job they set out to do… nothing more. Cassia continued on with Finnik, wandering here and there to grab some branches, though she never strayed very far from him. As she moved back towards him she looked up when he asked about the map. “Yeah,” she started. “It is sort of strange to come out here without a clue about who sent the map… but I’m glad I did.” Cass smiled.

She started to move off again, tempted by the bounty of a fallen tree. Cass set down her armful of sticks and started chopping some of the smaller branches from the large stump. Suddenly she felt something… a presence in the woods, it was startling enough that she stood up straight. She looked around, but the woods seemed quiet, the only thing she could see was Finnik collecting wood. Cass gathered her bundle again and quickly walked back towards her companion. Though, perhaps it had just been her imagination…only her imagination. She turned her attention back to Finnik when he started speaking and she had to laugh slightly at his words. She wasn't sure if he was just joking around, but she couldn't help but feel a bit flattered.

“Well, I’m from Bestine and I’m 18 years old.” She paused, considering whether or not to continue. “As for the rest… I will just say that I do like to go for long walks in the woods.” Cass said with a smile. It was a true fact and merely a coincidence that they happened to be alone in the woods at that very moment. “And what about you?”

She looked at the woman and raised an eyebrow watching her before another one of the teens there was bringing out wine which got her more curious. "Whoever sent it either had a plan or they just picked at random. I am all for meeting new people but I am not certain what will be best and that. "She held up a finger looking at the wine. "Though I am not certain if us drinking will be productive." Her hand came down while she continued to sit there and looked at most of the synthflesh on her arms while flexing the mechnoarms. She still had some of her senses about her while she was looking at Morgana. "What about you."

Morgana had given an agreeing hum when [member="Bellalika"] had mentioned whoever was behind the maps having a plan. It was possible. If the plan was good or bad that remaind to be seen. She nodded in agreement, however, when she'd said how she was always interested to meet new people; something Morgana could relate to. When the wine came up Morgana waved her hand, indicating she didn't want any. At least not for the time being. And then, when asked about herself, she shrugged and said "I just like getting out and meeting people. I stay in a Jedi temple most of my days. So being here is a nice change of pace."
[member="Cassia Edric"] [member="Vengeance"] [member="Finnik Mann"] [member="Xavka Duquo"]

Xavka only shrugged when both Morgana and Bellalika turned down his offer of wine and replaced it in his bag. "I gotta say that this whole situation stinks of a holovid drama; a bunch of teens out in the woods, alone." He gave a dry laugh, "Thank Amina that life isn't one, eh?"

Pushing himself up from his seat, stifling a groan as his still healing scars on his torso stretched as he did so, Xavka turned and made his way over to one of the many trees surrounding them and picked up a fallen branch. Lugging it back of to the fire he dropped himself onto the ground before holding and rotating the wood above the fire in an attempt to fire-polish it. As he did so he returned his attention to his companions. "So, while the lover birds," he gestured with his head in the direction Finnik and Cassia had gone, "are out gettin' some dry wood, you two got any idea's on what can be done to destroy the boredom I can feel creeping up on me?"
