[Campaign] Liberation of 80060050076

A Secession! With the Republic army stretched in a desperate attempt to engage
the reemerging Sith, planets that were once thought secure are now rising up. On the resource abundant world of Corlax 4 a G0-T0 Infrastructure planning system has broken free of its programming, and has proclaimed itself the planets Dictator, causing an economic emergency.
It has raised an droid army, cut off all connections to the HoloNet, and has announced its takeover of the planet now known as the independent territory, 80060050075.

The Silver Jedi, resolute in the effort to restore order, mount an invasion to liberate Corlax 4 and shut down the insurrection for good...

Ru stood on the command bridge of Venator-class Star Destroyer, Endurance. It was here that she stood upon the metallic platform in a meditative state. Her montrals were in a slanted position as her head was held low. As she tried to center herself in the force and envision any outcomes of the battle, her face would form expressions of someone deep in ponder. There was much to be done, and her meditation would soon come to and end when her commander approached her from behind and began to speak, "General, the others are awaiting you, it is time to discuss strategy." of course she would hear the clanking if his boots on the metallic flooring before he could speak words. She then turned to him, giving him a nod that would signal a physical thank you.

"Thank you Commander, I will make my way immediately." she said in her soft spoken tone of course.

As she stepped down off the platform she began her pace, of course the commander would follow right behind her as she walked past. Her hands found themselves comfortable behind her. They were attached, fingers interlocked, and resting in position. From a few feet away she had good sight of the holo projector that would allow all participating members to communicate. There were already displays of blue. Shimmering images, possibly of the planet itself. Troopers were gathered around it, but they would make room for everyone else.

briefing.jpg

She came to a halt asher face began to glow of a blue light, she looked around, and upon examination pressed a button that would call those who weren't present on the ship to the meeting, one their notification was received, an image of herself would appear, transparent and blue in appearance. She was ready, as she had already a working knowledge of the lands below. They had only one shot at this.

Hasjo Hallu, Jedi General of the Sixth Battalion and Knight of the Silver Order stood in the hangar. He was welcomed by seasoned veterans flanking him in their state-of-the-art Tyumen-1 armour, A1 Harvesters gripped in their hands. He was on board the Endurance, but had yet not seen Master [member="Sochi Ru"]. Since Knighthood, he had rarely spoken to her or seen her. It was not for a lack of want, but Hasjo had become a busy man around Voss. He tended to various military operations throughout the Outer-Rim Territories, and when he wasn't on a six week campaign, he was tracking down Sith of the New Order. He had become a wanted man among the New Order. Where they invaded, Hasjo defended with his Sixth Battalion. Where they were slowly gathering plans, the metalloid nautolan would make off with them. He had fought Darth Ferus four times, Lord Eclipsion thrice, Maleus twice, Lord Veles twice and countless acolytes, brutally injuring Melakoth Tyrin during their second duel within the Sith's own temple. Hasjo had not trained much in the courtyards, he had always trained on the field of battle

He had received Master Ru's transmission to report to the bridge. He took the nearest access tram, speeding through the superstructure of the Star Destroyer. One thing was for sure upon meeting Hasjo, his reputation was ferocious among the New Order, but they all expected him to be taller. Hasjo stood at only five feet and seven inches, compared to the average height of five-ten to six foot. As the twin doors slid open with a hiss, Commander Josef May greeted Hasjo warmly with a firm shake of their forearms. "General Ru is waiting for you, sir" May said to Hasjo. The Commander motioned him into the room where various naval officers tended to a versatile range of computers that handled different operations board the Star Destroyer. At it's centre was a holographic table and beside it, Sochi. Hasjo approached, his metallic boots slapped against the floor. His arid cloak draped over his shoulders, dragging behind his heels. He was a walking durasteel coffin. "Master" he greeted her with his synthesised voice.

Jeela looked up from where she stood practicing her lightsaber skills, listening to the message. So they were to report to the bridge now, She took a deep breath. So it began. She deactivated her saber and clipped it to her belt. She wouldn't be storing it in pockets any time soon. It took far too long to activate there.

It was strange how different war was from everything else. There was a lesson there. She could sense it. She just couldn't put it into words, not that there was time, either. She stepped out from her room, and sank into the Force. She would need it get through however long this would take.

Determination visible in her stride, she set off towards the bridge, slipping between personnel running about their business, focusing on their duty, as she focused now on hers.

Still suffering from an uneasy stomach from every hyperspace transit he had to endure Vladimir sat on his bunk trying to calm it. He was getting better about keeping everything down as the Sixth Battalion transited around the galaxy hopping from one hot spot to another. Heaving himself up off the bunk he let his stomach settle a little, with them out of hyperspace he had little doubt that his squad would be called to assist soon enough. He was certainly ready to get his feet on solid ground again even if that meant entering a combat zone again.

Moving out of the bunk room he shared with his squad the Hapan man went looking for a viewport, he stepped up to one and stared down at the planet below. He didn’t know what they were here for yet, they didn’t share need to know information like that with Sergeants first after all, all he knew was they were not here for R&R. Stepping away from the viewport he returned to his bunk to gather his gear, he figured he would need it soon enough, the rest of Alpha squad was doing the same, there wasn’t any great hurry yet but he believed in having his squad prepared for everything.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
"I really need to figure out a place on these ships..." Aika sighed lightly as she grazed up at the transparent blue images being emitted. It was rare that she left Voss for anything but diplomatic reasons, but she couldn't resist. She had always been close to the Togruta Jedi Master, and always willing to lend a hand. This was no exception. Even though she knew nothing of what was going on, still she went along with it. Blindly, at that. And with no second thoughts. Then again, there was a reason for everything she did. Even if it was apparent at first. She had her own agenda, which meant that she would always find something to suit her thoughts.

Lips sealed, her eyes simply watched as Sochi Ru and her apprentice made their way onto the bridge. It would be her first time meeting the him, and a long awaited reunion between friends. "Welcome. It's a relief to see you once more, my old friend. I never thought that three of us being separated for so long would feel so different. And this must be your apprentice. Allow me to make introduction. I am Aika Kawakami, Jedi Master, and the head of our order's diplomatic relations."

Ah, how she played so nicely. Even when she wondered what she could gain form this venture...

Where are you master? Nico thought about it for a time while she laid there in the bunk and focused on what was being done. It wasn't often many brought some interest but given all that had been going on with the orders. She liked the silver jedi, her master was here... her master was in charge it seemed with others one a former student of her cousin and rising out of the bed Nico went to work getting all of her gear while the necklace she ha gotten for her work at Dac jingled. The sigil and her sabers one of the few things she had from Matsu or her old life.

Then she was moving quickly and securing the saber gauntlets on her hands with the gloves clenching before she bowed standing in one of the kimono's Matsu had made for the order and wearing a cloak over it. "Masters." Nico bowed letting her hair fall around her shoulders and then standing there while the idea of where and what Iella was doing came to her. She offered a friendly smile making sure all the bindings on her body were secured with a small flex of her muscles. "I hope everything is going good."

Hasjo watched with large, piercing eyes from beneath his suits faceplate. She greeted him, "I am Aika Kawakami, Jedi Master, and the head of our order's diplomatic relations." He hadn't met this woman before. Hasjo was rarely around Voss, always off on missions, but when he was home, he was up at five in the morning sharp leading a PT run. He offered his forearm for her to shake, and he would shake hers. It was a greeting among tribal Nautolans. Friends, family and allies shook one another's forearms, whilst enemies shook hands. "And I am Hasjo Hallu, General of the Sixth Battalion. I am blessed to meet you and be in your presence." His voice was not like the others, it wasn't organic. Rather, it was synthesised by his suit. A result of his serious injuries that had occurred during the Siege of Coruscant.

@[member="Aika Kawakami"]

"Aika, I'm glad you've decided to come along. It has been far too long, and forgive me for having to reunite in a situation such as this. The force works itself in mysterious ways. Hence the bond I share with you." she said smiling.

She momentarily gazed at the images in front of her, her face lit with shimmering shades of blue. This was, before the doors opened behind her. Another had found their way. This one in particular she could sense from behind the door, even from where he was previously. [member="Hasjo Hallu"] her former apprentice, one she considered a son in many aspects. As much as she was a traditionalist she was still one of the most compassionate. The clanking if his boots drew closer and closer and she would turn, a movements almost synchronized with his words as they too gave way to his presence. She turned and gave way a subtle smile, and she placed her hand upon his face.

"Greetings, Hallu it has been far too long. Your presence is most welcomed. I must say I'm very proud of your accomplishments since your knighting, even before then you've always been honorable. Thank you for joining us this day. I'm sure you'll continue to make me proud," she said smiling, and removing her hand from his face long before she finished her statements. She turned back to the holo images, as the situation at hand caused for more attention. She prepared her words while the others gathered and made their own introductions.

As she looked up she bowed back in response to the young [member="Nico Minuro Ike"] as much as this was dangerous, this was still good experience for the young to garner. While everyone gathered around finally to discuss plans, she began to speak.

"Now, I thank you all for volunteering your services to today's mission. As you've all heard there was a takeover of this planet by a G0-T0 droid, these machines aren't to be taken lightly. Troops have been stationed here a time before our arrival and have already met heavy resistance. With our numbers not being large enough for an all out siege we must be prepared, because we only have one shot." she said as she maneuvered her hand over the holo projector which would display the landscape, a rocky, and deserted area.

"We've had to be smart about strategy, we want no more harm to come to the enslaved civilians, so anymore fighting within the city is off limits. We want to get them out of there, our forces have discovered a droid mainframe located in this deserted area of the planet. This has made things rather difficult to march our forces right up, the issue is the mainframe is located in a large canyon that has many smaller ones that lead to it. Because of this we have decided to launch a two pronged attack that will lead to one single staging area. Once were down we'll establish a perimeter. Hallu will cut across their defensive forces from the East, and I from the West. We'll meet at the rendezvous point , this will put us on a path that will lead us straight to the mainframe. If either one of us meet with strong resistance, and are forced away from the landing zone, hold out until we join our forces before attacking."

She then maneuvered herself away from the Holoprojector to go stand near [member="Aika Kawakami"] as she continued with the briefing. She then looked amongst everyone, and her exotic accent came out of her mouth once again. "Aika your expertise is needed, a group of "Rebels" are planning to strike back at their metallic invaders, I need you to go and convince them to stop what their doing before others may suffer. There has been executions do to their behaviors, try and rally these people and assure them that we are working to save them. I want you to take Padawan Jeela Tillian with you. There will be a rebel that has been working with us awaiting you. Padawan Nico your free to accompany anyone you wish. May the force be with you all."

She then placed her hand on her friends shoulder as she began to walk towards the opposite side of the table, she looked at everyone once more. She nodded slowly, and proceeded with her last words. "We have only one shot at this, if our attack on the mainframe is successful, it will render all of these droids obsolete and unable to function. This will make the destruction of this G0-T0 much more easier, and safer for the civilians. May the force be with you all." she said bowing.

Jeela strode into the command center after the others, but still in time to catch the briefing. Ship corridors all looked alike and never went where you wanted them to go. Hence the delayed arrival. The situation was interesting, to say the least. A droid takeover. This put sent a small shiver up her spine. It brought to mind the the tales of the Clone Wars in the Old Republic. She stopped slightly behind the others, hands clasped behind her back, and lightsaber at her side, listening for any further comments or directions.

This was serious. It was an actual military operation. She had only just managed to wrap her mind around that and still hadn't quite accepted it. She never thought she would be involved in one of these. Yet here she was. It was strange how the Force worked, but that was hardly a new lesson.

Aika Kawakami

"Since when do you participate in militaristic operations?"

"Why do you always put your opinion where it's not needed?"

Her eyes trailed her long time friend as she handed out directions to each of those that had shown up. She was a natural leader, and it showed, even if she didn't realize it herself. Aika was immensely proud of the Togruta. Though, she did worry a bit. This was a new path. And the last thing she wanted to see was one lose themselves over such a thing. Nonetheless, she grinned as the two stood side by side, and Aika received her own set of marching orders. Her objective was to quell a group of rebelling individuals who had been striking back at the overpowering droids. The only problem was, strikes were only getting themselves killed.

Her head shook slightly at the though, a small chuckle escaping her lips. "Everyone wants to kill, maim, or destroy. Whatever happened to negotiations? Calm, semi peaceful, negotiations? But, considering the times we live in, I guess it can't be helped. As a matter of fact, it is to be expected. Very well. I move to halt the rebels from bringing their own deaths to light." Grinning, her gaze followed her friend as moved away, before giving them her final words. Aika's head turned back, eyes landing on the silent apprentice behind them. "You are free to come along, apprentice. I see no reason for you to remain here. Do you not agree?"

Commander May rested his elbow upon the holographic table. The male Zeltron was taller than Hasjo Hallu. Josef May stood at 6' 2" whilst Hasjo was a mere 5' 7", the military officer dwarfed the Jedi Knight. May spoke up, offering "Canyon serves everyone else a problem, but not the Sixth Battalion. Crap terrain is our forte."
"You might want to watch that bark of yours" Hasjo commented of the Commanders informal tongue. It sounded like the officer was speaking to a droid with the significant difference in their tones. May's was strong, emotional and organic, Hasjo's was monotone, lifeless and synthesised. Those who dared attempt to feel out with the force for Hasjo's personal inner state would find the Nautolan was in constant turmoil with claustrophobia, anonymity and isolationism. Hasjo felt a loneliness unlike most ever known. He compensated with his mind in constant occupation of other objectives. Hunt this Sith, train those soldiers, practice with this weapon or that. It was his life, these objectives consumed him.

Hasjo fled from the room with Commander May tailing him. He took the nearest access tram, thumbing the button that would send the transport to the hangar bay. Josef informed Hasjo, "I had the Sixth send down some probes. Contact with their relays was lost last night. All signals flatlined at twenty-six hundred hours. I don't know how the lady up there will feel about this, she would probably find it a misallocation of valuable resources - but I responded with fireteams Zulu and Mai, they have since been declared MIA. Maybe if she found out, she would scold me how I was wrong, and she was right. But sometimes you got to do what you go to do."
"You did not have to do any of that, Josef. I don't recall giving you those orders." Hasjo hissed at him, disappointed in the lack of protocol. But he knew Commander May was like this at times, he did what he thought was best - and it almost always proved that he was right. Unfortunately, not this time.

The doors slid open and they were confronted with two full companies of troopers. In total, one-hundred and sixty marines of the Sixth Battalion, and a variety of dropships. May spoke up, "Playtimes over, get tactical marines. You know the music, time to dance."
"You heard the lady, move like you got purpose" Hasjo back talked. He was a grim figure among both the Sixth Battalion and the Silver Jedi, but he held a close relationship with Josef May. They had served together for over a decade. Hasjo only hoped the old man would retire before he got killed. The soldiers set to gathering their weapons and stacking into the cargo bay of various transports. They stood shoulder-to-shoulder in the 'blood trays' as they called them. May pierced the air once again, "All you green-as-grass boys who wanted to see combat droids up close. This is gonna be your lucky day. Now the rest of you slow-pokes, Move out, double time." The last gathering of troopers found themselves quickly in a gunship.

@[member="Sochi Ru"]

[member="Hasjo Hallu"]

Location: On the ground, patrolling outside city.

"How much longer." One of the troopers asked from the rear.

"As long as it takes, now shut it." Alpha retorted as they ground to halt in the forest. Comms had gone out a while ago when the droids had scrambled the channels. What was worse they seemed to be blocking GPS too which left Alpha and his small squadron with only a map, a compass and a protractor.

Alpha looked over the map, re-sqauring the protractor and frowning inside his helmet. They had been rucking for twelve hours straight and still hadn’t found high ground. Which was bad as droids were now swarming from the city to the woods.

"Hey Alpha I got something over here."

Alpha dropped the compass and map into his buttpack and raised his rifle, slowly and methodically approaching the left flank where the trooper had called out.

"What is it?"

"Looks like a probe droid of some sort."'

"Interesting, see if you can get it working, rip the data drives and be quick about it."

"Roger that."

Alpha resumed his position at the head of the column perusing his compass and map. It would take them hours to get to the high ground at this rate...

All of his gear ready Vladimir and Alpha squad left their bunks behind, who knew how long for. He hoped this would be a short siege for the sake of his squad. He didn’t know where they would be going, all he knew was they had been called to the docking bay. He supposed they would be getting orders en-route or upon arrival on the surface. Putting on his helmet his squad joined the assembled ranks waiting for new orders. It didn’t take long for Commander May and General [member="Hasjo Hallu"] to come in.

With their instructions clear Alpha squad packed themselves into the nearest transport. They all stowed their gear with practised precision as they found their places. Even the greenest members of the squad were stowed and ready to go within moments. Vladimir gave a small nod of approval to his squad as they prepped for departure. Part of him really wanted to get to the planet right now and off these ships. Sooner his feet were on the ground the sooner the nausea would pass. He didn’t look forward to or enjoy killing but each engagement brought new challenges he relished in tackling. He had found a nice niche in the Sixth he was comfortable here, that certainly wasn’t something he could say about the Republic or Hapan militaries.

The final few marines found themselves places on the various drop ships, no doubt they would be going soon. Vladimir closed his eyes trying to relax, he took slow deep breaths. He reopened his eyes, scanning his HUD for details of their drop location as he waited.

Jeela responded to Master [member="Aika Kawakami"] with a slight bow, "I do agree with you, Master Kawakami, and it would be an honor to assist in something worthwhile." She bit her tongue at the last part. Too late. It always managed to escape her, especially when it came to the galaxy's obsession with war. It was wasted resources, wasted energy, and worst of all, wasted lives for the most part. A wave crushing everything before it, but then leaving nothing but destruction behind. Nobody ever looked back at those whose lives it disrupted.

It was necessary at times, she would admit. It was necessary far less often than it occurred though, and too few people would go and try to clean up the messes.

Nico listened to Sochi and gave a nod her her head. A GO-TO droid usually wans't that dangerous weapons wise but overtaking a planet could lead to complications. That was why while she looked to the other masters and rolled her shoulders her aegis gauntlets were up and ready. "We will be prepared master." A smirk played on her face while letting the others lead the way, her fingers lightly dancing. "Shall we go, my master has made sure I am ready to do as needed."

An obvious grin became pronounced on her lips, times had indeed changed, and there was always a constant rush into battle to throw lives away. She was so glad Aika had came along, "Thank you Aika, I'm so glad your here. This goes for everyone else as well. though her words were cut a little short when an milita officer spoke out against the terrain. Her head turned and her gaze widened for a second. She allowed him to speak, she knew he meant no ill will. "Commander, I shall see you on the front lines. May the force be with you.." she said smiling and appreciating his enthusiasm for his battalion. There was a need for more soldiers like that. After these words she was one of the first to leave the room, and began making her way down to the hangar. They needed to board as quick as possible.

The hangars were full of soldiers moving out, and as she boarded her gunship she could see across the way the Sixth Battalion, hopefully all would go well, but in times of war, not all things went as expected. Getting to that randevouz point was vital to the cause, and she was sure she had the right bunch to depend on. She lowered her head as she was shoulder to shoulder with multiple rangers of the order. The door would machanically close and slowly erase her physical form along with the others. Eveveryone quickly descended to the planets surface below, hmm a desert seemed the most hideous place to fight, seeing as the terrain itself was a challenge, and posed its own threats.

Through the cracks of the ships she could see the surface, colors changing to shades of yellows, and oranges, and browns. The obvious sand blowing in the wind. There was turbulence immediately from entering the atmosphere and experiencing the resistance. She gripped the strap above to maintain her balance. The ship was silent, and the sounds of blaster fire filled the air. There wasn't much anyone could do but hope they reached the point soon while facing the risks of being shot down from the sky above. With time the turbulence increased. The tension also rose with an almost synchronized manner. Was it possible that one could cut it with an knife? Yes.

GeonosisDifficultLanding.jpg

Then there were explosions, that surrounded the ship she was in. The gunship in front of them had been hit, and exploded to pieces in front of them. The debris caused a considerable amount of damage to their ship which caused them to lose direction and control. The ship next to them was hit and shot down as well. There was an inevitable crash landing approaching and everyone knew it. Her expression widened, and the side of the ship was torn off, allowing the hot air to rush in. The smoke caused the lungs of the passengers to burn in a black hellfire. The ships would crashed and slide amongst the dry, and dusty ground beneath. Not too long into it the sand beneath them had been kicked up and rushed into the hull of the ship itself.

Everyone was flung about, including herself. She was grown into another and they hit the opposite end of the ship as everything was torn to pieces and lives were lost. There was the screams, and moans from the immediate injured. Then things went silent, and only the crackling sounds of fire were heard. She herself was unconscious, she was lucky to be alive. A blackout was soon to follow.

Loud sounds broke Alpha concentration and he glanced up briefly to see a battle far off. With a quick snap of his hand, he raised a pair of binocs and peered through them at the debacle unfolding. What looked like Republic, or possibly allied landing ships were being blown to bits. As the carnage unfolded several plummeted from the air, taking massive hits.

Alphas trained eyes moved with his binocs as he scanned the plateau outside the city. A whole line of AA emplacements met his vision and he smirked inside his blue and white bucket.

"New plan troopers, ruck up. We have an allied landing force about two kilos out getting smashed by some tin head AA. I want two Sappers on point with me, wedge formation delta. Time to target needs to be ten minutes, copy?"

The squadron rushed about collecting their loose gear and snatching up rucksacks. Minutes later they were sprinting over the dunes, kicking up a small wave of dust as they headed directly for the plateau. Ten minutes passed and they were still too far out.

"Double time lets move!"

They picked up the pace, now all out sprinting...

The entire vessel shuddered under strenuous AA fire. Hasjo raised his finger, signalling the bay doors to be opened. A tremendous gust of wind swept through the blood tray of the LAAT. Commander May pushed past the harsh breeze and clasped his hand on Hasjo's shoulder, looking out upon the desert. A multitude of other gunships began to open their cargo holds, skimming across the surface of the landscape. They were remaining as low as possible before they would drop them off. Hasjo snapped his head when an incoming missile could be heard. The vessel swerved violently, almost throwing a trio of troopers out of the transport. The missile narrowly avoided them but collided with the LAAT that had been behind them. The ship slammed against the sand, throwing out metal shrapnel the size of a door as far as the eye could see. The impact had been enormous. Hasjo's own LAAT thudded against the ground. This was the LZ. "Pile out, let's move!" Commander May shrieked over the chaos.

9lxAGjv.jpg

The marines of the Sixth Battalion dashed out into oncoming blaster fire. They knew what to do. They hit the decks. Some began shovelling sand over their backs in an attempt to hide themselves better. They took covering positions for the medical team as they evacuated the members of the crashed LAAT. Others wielding massive gatling gun blasters supplied suppressing fire, which did little to the stupid droids. They weren't as smart enough to take cover from incoming fire as sentients, and for this they paid viciously. Hasjo was in the middle of the fray, an A2 'Onyx' was shouldered against him, his neck craned so his eyes could peer down the scope. He slapped the trigger. Each shot he fired sent a droid down. And those that went down stayed down. Commander May crouched beside the Jedi General, signalling [member="Sochi Ru"]'s own Company. "Juliet-1 to Mala-Leader, do you copy? We've hit the LZ. Over."

[member="Hasjo Hallu"]

They had reached the base of the cliff and Alpha gave the order to stop. so far the droids were so intent on their enemies they hadn't a clue Alphas small squadron[member="Sochi Ru"] had snuck up on their six. Kneeling down he drew a box in the sand, and drew a quick battleplan.

"Ok all troopers rig up. We go up and the right and left flanks fan out, lay fire and drop as many of those frackers as possible. Grenades as soon as we crest to frack em up. Two sappers and myself will take control of three AA cannons and tunr them here and here, effectively neutralizing the other cannons. Once we secure the plateau, dig in, cuz we'll be providing artillery support."

Within two minutes they rigged and began winching up the cliff. The crest acme into view and Alpha nodded.

"Now!"

Grenades sailed over the cliff top, exploding in furious balls of fire and shrapnel. Rocks and dust rained down on the troopers as they crusted the lip and opened fire. Alpha fired left then right, then laid a trio of shots into a charging droid. The flanks pushed left and right, trading fire with the droids at a frantic rate. Two troopers took direct hits, one tumbled from the cliff.

The other was not so lucky and Alpha grimaced as his head blew off completely.

"Sappers on me push out!"

The three man squad ducked and weaved through the carnage blasting droids at point blank until they reached the first AA gun. Alpha charged the back and wrapped his hands around a droid head, tearing it free with a vicious roar. Both armored hands grasped the lip of the control cage and he slid in, knocking the dead tin head out with his legs.

"Im up, firing now!"

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
"Counselor Kawakami. The shuttle is ready."

Her head nodded in response to the trooper how would be accompanying her to the rebel camp. "Very well, Captain..." She paused, unsure of how to address the trooper. "My men refer to me as Nova." Her head nodded once more as she spoke. "Very well, Captain Nova it is. Lets take our leave."

Her gaze moved to Jeela. Quite as she may be, Aika could certainly find a use for her. "Come, Jeela. We have much to do, and time is of the essence. The longer we wait, the more lives remain at risk. And we certainly don't want their blood on our hands." Following behind the trooper, her hands clasped behind her back, eyes signaling the girl. The trek to the hanger would be a short and quiet one. All parties involved were preparing to move to the surface of the planet. For some, the journey and objective would prove far more dangerous than her own. But at the end of the day, she preferred it that way. Her place was never on the front line, nor would she willingly put herself there.

Within moments of boarding the small shuttle, they were on their way towards the planet's surface, destination already firmly planted in mind. Blaster fire rose in seemingly each direction as they moved. "We'll need to take a longer route around for safety. It doesn't matter if we get there, but aren't alive." "Already on it, ma'am."

Aika turned from the cockpit, her gaze falling upon Jeela once more. "Apprentice, you've been quiet. Is there something on your mind?"
