Can Threads Be Turned Into Audio Stories? Yes!

Crazy idea that I had in my head while driving. I was at an animation voiceover workshop last year and we had to write a short part of a script to have it performed by our classmates at the workshop. I wrote my script based on a dream that was an alien abduction. It was so awesome to hear it being acted out and hear people voicing the characters!

We all jointly write such incredible stories, some threads being super long and others short and sweet Well I would love to put some short threads to audio form and provide a link to it so that you can just read along or listen to it on it's own.

I can do a variety of voices and accents. My hubby has acting experience (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!! Chitty on the West End in London!!) and he has a super awesome deep voice with an English accent. He's agreed to help out I figure that we could get one out every few weeks or month as work/wifehood/motherhood gets me a tad busy at times

I'd like to know if there is any other interest in this? Extra voices? Threads they'd like to hear?

I was recently in a radio play, and I have to say that voice-acting has a certain charm to it. I wish I had equipment to help out with voices, but I'm a poor high-school scrub!

I'd love to have your talents! The more voices to play the parts, the better. People would probably tire of my voice. Though my hubby says that my sexy voice character can hypnotize people...lol.

Any mic will do! A common trick that voice actors do for self recording auditions is to either record in a closet, or make a fort over yourself and your laptop/desktop with a blanket. It helps keep out background noises and makes your recording sound less tinny

Audacity is the voiceover recording program that I use to record auditions and such. It's simpler than the Pro Tools that we used in my voiceover classes. And it's FREE!!!!

Audio stories are awesome. I have a buddy who does voice acting and he asked some of our friends all the time if they want him to do voices for their characters, it's always awesome to hear. I think this is a great idea!
