The tavern was shabby but comfortable. It catered mostly to the factory workers coming off long shifts or getting ready to head in to even longer ones. It was loud and jubilant because on this planet there really wasn't a ton of ways for the working class to blow off steam. Casi was used to the uproar now, but when she'd first started here a few months ago it had caught her off guard to see how loud and rowdy everyone could get after they had a few. She was underage of course, so normally she wouldn't be frequenting a place like this, but the owners had taken pity on her when she turned up half starved and in need of a job. They were letting her rent the room in their attack and work to pay for it so Casi spent every night down in the tavern bussing tables.

After her time on Ord Mantell she had wanted to find a planet less touched by darkness. Even without a lot of training Casi had felt that something was off about Ord Mantell, though the woman who had traveled there with her assured her it was safe. Casi wasn't exactly thrilled to be back in Alliance territory but this was as far as she could afford to go at the moment.

"Casi please go and buss table five. Then mop the back."

"Yes Rana."

Casi picked up a small tub and carried it with her over to the empty table where dishes were stacked. She absentmindedly started putting glasses into it when suddenly the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. She felt like she was being watched suddenly.

That Casaline was being watched wasn't so sudden as she was aware of.

In truth, she had been subject to observation for a while... and since Rik had arrived at the tavern, he had been giving the impression of minding his own business while going over the information he had been given and intel he had since gathered tracking her down, ostensibly looking every bit the man that was taking a late working meal, and keeping mild tabs on her by less obvious means than the visual. That is, he had simply been remaining aware of her movements during the portion of her shift that he had been here, as she coasted along his senses.

But now? Now he was watching in the clearest sense of the word, as his eyes were drawn away from his datapad, when dishes clinked together on their transfer from table to bin. His own meal was finished, just as well.

Accepting this mission had been an unquestionable decision for him - that someone this young was out gods-only-know-where, following a misguided impulse that could very well put them in peril with so little training and no guidance... well, it didn't sit well with him. He was prepared to be rebuffed, if it came to that, but he wasn't here to drag her back.

He was here to convince her to leave, willingly.

Casi noticed the man was watching but when she saw that his plate was cleared she wondered if maybe she was just being paranoid. He probably just wanted his check so he could leave. The Jedi weren't out looking for her. They had enough padawans and she was sure they wouldn't miss her. She had to relax a little bit and not be so paranoid every single time a customer looked at her.

She walked over to his table with her bin and started clearing his plates.

"The waitress will be right out with your check sir."
