ADVANCED SYSTEMS

• Interior Bridge: The bridge of the Canis-class is not exposed at the outer hull but located deep inside the ships hull.
• Fortified Prow: The front of the ship is sloped and triangular, drastically increasing the plating modifier. In the prow itself are no vital systems located and it is a separate compartment.

STRENGTHS

• Resist and Bite: The Canis-class is a resilient fighter, designed to deal with pirates, work as vanguard or for patrol duties. Strong weapons and defenses make it a formidable enemy despite its small size.
• Agile: The Corvettes of this class are fast, both in Hyperspace as well as in real-space.
• Beastly Approach: The front of the Canis is extremely well armored and bears the main armament of superfiring turbolasers, therefore it is a perfect hunter.

WEAKNESSES

• Puppy: The Canis is just a corvette and while its weapons excel at fighting equal sized ships like escorts and starfighters, it is not capable of taking on a capital ship.
• Taillights: The back of the Canis is covered by some point-defenses, but it is far from being sufficient to protect the exposed engine units.

DESCRIPTION
The Battlefleet Vandemar is the military naval arm of the Vandemarians, established by the High Imperator many centuries ago, it was designed to maintain the sovereignity of the Olympian System as well as providing training, experience and a possibility to participate in the wars of the Galaxy as well as protecting the small realm from them. Developed based on various experiences and influences, the Vandemarian navy is a well supplied and highly trained combat force.

The Canis-class are the stalking patrollers of the fleet. Fast and well armed, the Corvettes are built to deal with a large variety of threats, from protecting larger ships from starfighter assaults or working in small groups to harass and take down isolated capital ships. They are the backbone of the Vandemarian systems blockade, patrolling to take down pirates, smugglers and other intruders. A small contingent of fierce marines on board to check incoming traders or repel boarding parties, the ships are small and beasty.
