I was told a while back to double-check with the factory administrator for all rulings on various things, like canon lightsaber crystals.

This conversation (which began in skype, made it to the board, and then continued in skype again) resulted in a decision to not follow the "chaos accepted effects" which the lightsaber guide stated were recognized by the factory judges/staff prior to the then-current (Tefka-ran factory 2015) one. It was brought up because the previous factory admin (between [member="Spencer Jacobs"] and Tefka), Alric Kuhn, had made a similar ruling (in that he told me/us to not follow it after a submission used one of the non-recognized crystals and he read it over) and I had reminded [member="Draco Vereen"] during Tefka's run. After being reminded that every factory admin made their own rules and that I shouldn't rely on past rulings, the same ruling was made on canon stuff.
So, tl;dr: Do we still accept lightsaber crystals as they are listed from canonical sources (EU, movies) or do we go back to following this guide?
