BIOGRAPHY: Cara Holt isn't who she believes she is. In her mind she's Cara Holt, daughter of two well known wildlife biologists from Corellia. A young girl who wants nothing more than to explore and study about the galaxies wildlife in hopes of being like her parents.
In reality, she's a clone of the original Cara Holt but doesn't know it. The original Holt died ten years earlier at the age fifty. Years before, the Holt family made an expedition to the unknown regions to study the wildlife on several planets. Unfortunately during the expedition, Cara's parents were killed by mercenaries do to a case of mistaken identity. The young Holt girl was rescued by a small group of pirates who took her in as one of their own. She was afraid at first, but soon learned how to live and act like them.
Over the years Cara excelled at her new life, a life she never dreamed she could ever do. As her reputation grew, so did her following. Every raid, captured ship, brought in a vast flow of credits. The small pirate group began to grow into a sizable empire claiming several systems in the unknown regions. Amongst the growing empire came with it an occult group that began to worship Holt as one of their sun deities. A belief that was reinforced by the pirates tactics of scorching entire settlements to the ground and rebuilding amongst the ashes.
Holt was killed in battle one day, going down in a blaze of glory. Her followers didn't waver, but returned to their home planet and began build up their forces. Durning that time they managed to clone Holt. This clone was to be their leader 'rising' from the ashes to lead them to glory and expand out into the galaxy. They placed a tattoo of a phoenix on her back that matches the banner they gather under.
A devastating blow struck the pirates soon after they opened Cara's cloning chamber for the first time. The girl was barely out of the chamber for a day, when a spy amongst their midst spirited her away. The clone of Cara believes herself to be the original and that she was captured by pirates. Max Conway pulled her from the clutches of the cults followers and blamed them for her parents deaths. All the while keeping secret that she is a clone. Now they are headed towards the core worlds all the while being hunted down.
