BIOGRAPHY:
Like most of his kind, Carask was spawned from a vat of cloned genetic material, and like all Baedurin before him he was designed for strength and destruction. Throughout his training Carask was recognized for his ferocity in battle and an unwillingness to accept defeat. His greatest feat came during his Bedla’korum when he challenged the Theron to a Morad'kai for the right to lead the Great Hunt and won.
Carask was then chosen as a Captain within the Juggernauts, to lead his brethren on the frontline of battle. For his first deployment the objective was simple, drop in behind enemy lines and break their defences before the main force arrives. It was a task Carask believed he was bred for, to spread his violent religion to a galaxy that had long forgotten the old ways. But he would soon be taught that even the mightiest of strength can fall.
Before his team could reach the bulk of the enemy he crossed the path of a single human warrior, brandishing a saber of light. They stood between him and the object of his wrath and now had to pay the ultimate price. One after another Carask sent his Juggernauts after the warrior, only to be cut down by the white hot blade. A blood curdling rage had now built within him as he looked upon the severed pieces of his fallen comrades. Most of whom he had known since he was spawned, learning to walk and fight alongside them. The most formidable of his species routed by an inferior race.
He could now feel an opposing force invading his mind. Carask felt his body become lethargic even before he reached the human, but still he drudged on in blind rage. Surely his strength would carry him to victory as it always had. This was an opponent unlike any he had faced before, the foreign presence in his mind continued to probe, clouding his vision and separating his great muscles from his brain's command. In the the space between them Carask had lost the weapon from his hands. Still Carask lashed out with his claws, primal instinct taking over as his own mind turned against him. The blow was easily dodged by the nimble human, still Carask pressed forward with a combination of slashes. Every attempt either deflected or dodged, the unknown warrior was now toying with the Baedurin.
Carask's sight began to fail as the force in his mind pressed further. Failure and grief breaking through the rage that was driving the great brute. His final strike fell on empty air and Carask collapsed to his knees. Strength and pride left him as he accepted his fate and awaited a final blow. The hum of his opponents weapon disappeared along with Carask's hope for an honorable death. "Even a monster must find balance in the Force," a voice whispered within him before unconscious swept over him.
Branded now as a failure Carask must begin his journey to regain his former glory as a warrior.
