BIOGRAPHY:
Carter Flaa was a private bounty hunter for the banking system on his homeworld. Things were kept quiet that way, and Flaa always had a free pass on whatever crimes he committed to get the job done. The judges were in the pocket of the bank executives, and Flaa worked for the executives. Most jobs were easy, but Carter liked the ones who ran. He attributes his skills as a pilot to the chases he had to make in tracking down certain high profile targets.
Life as a Bounty Hunter made him wealthy, and attracted the attentions of a very beautiful woman. Cera Flare was a beautiful brunette who was the daughter of one of Carter's employers. There courtship was short, and ended in marriage when Carter was only Twenty years old. The two were young and in love, and had no concern of the future so the couple did not do anything to prevent a honeymoon baby. Delia Flaa was born ten months after the nuptials to a very happy couple.
Tragedy was bound to strike as the family took a vacation for Delia's second birthday. Pirates raided the cruise vessel and robbed the entire crew of everything valuable. When Cera refused to surrender her wedding set, the pirates shot her and took it anyway. To keep Carter from coming after them, they shot his two year old daughter as well intending to make him overcome with grief. It worked briefly, as Flaa became angry instead, and the Bounty Hunter showed the pirates why they had messed with the wrong man.
Flaa continued his services as a bounty hunter for five years when the Imperial Navy started expanding their pilots to deal with the pirate problem on the outskirts of Imperial Space. He saw this as a chance to seek revenge against pirates everywhere for the death of his wife and daughter. Carter still wears the wedding set on his dog tags to remember his bride. Flaa turned to alcohol for companionship which has turned him into a functioning alcoholic, something the Imperial Navy is currently unaware of.
