- Force Suppression: The Castille Family ring was forged a long time ago what appeared to be a force using member of the Castille family. The function of the ring is actually quite simple, it suppresses any and all traces of the force, light or dark, within the wearer. This effect is not entirely complete, as some trace of the force will at times 'leak' through, albeit this is not enough to locate the wearer just give others indication there is a force user in the room(If they are looking)
- Barrier: The ring works by creating a 'barrier' between the user and the force. The simplest way to explain this function is in a simile. To the wearer of the ring the force is placed behind a thin glass plate, this plate can be easily broken through with even a small brush, but if it is the effects of the ring will stop working instantly. In simple terms, this means that even the smallest use of the force by the wearer will instantly render them detectable.
- Destructible: The Ring isn't some uber powerful force artifact. The ring can be destroyed through any number of means, including a hammer.
Though no one really knows quite how, where, or when, the Castille family ring was crafted sometime before the gulag plague by a member of the Castille family.
Thought to perhaps have been a former Jedi, or more likely Sith, returning to Anaxes, the Castille ring has been within the family for ages. It has always been passed down from father to eldest child, moving down the genealogical tree with no pause. Of course, the legend that went with the ring was always passed down as well, the ability to hide the 'natural' gifts that could sometimes be found within the Castille family. It came as no surprise then that the ring wasn't just a gaudy show tool of wealth, but also a useful device.
It was not uncommon for children of the Castille family to exhibit signs of force use, and indeed the family did their best to train and foster this ability.
The force was of course a powerful tool for the family, and through the years they were able to hone their skills well enough to aid themselves in particular tasks.
It came as no surprise to anyone when Elizabeth Castille began to exhibit the same signs as many others within the Castille family, moving objects and shifting things with her thoughts. As all with all force using members of the family Elizabeth was given the proper tutelage and training, eventually gaining enough control to actually be useful. Upon this realization Elizabeth's father gave her the Castille Family Ring, allowing her to disguise her talents until they were most necessary.
