Cat and Mouse [Bounty Hunting]

Link to bounty here

She was sitting on a small chair in a cantina in the lower levels of Courascaunt. She wore her hoodie over her head, but she was starting to outgrow it again. Her lekkus were starting to pressure against the top fabric. Hopefully they hadn't stuck out enough that others would recognize her identity. She walked over to the bartender's stand, swerving between other beings.

The bartender was a fat Twi'lek male, and part of his right lekku was chipped off. "What would you like to order?" the bartender asked.
"I'll have one of your special brews please." she replied.
"Coming right up!" the bartender said. A minute later, the bartender came out with a large green bottle. She gave the bartender twenty credits and went back to her chair.
Next to her, there was a hologram showing bounties on certain beings. She checked the bounty holo, as she often did in cantinas. She did this to make sure none were placed on her, because that would make her life much harder. Suddenly, something popped up on the holo. "Nam Keeoh, 10,000 credits."

She gasped. Her old owners had gotten either smart enough or wealthy enough to make her life worse. A middle-aged human man walked up to the holo and also saw the new bounty. He looked at her, and then at the hologram. She quickly reached into her utility belt for her blaster pistol, shot the man, and fled the cantina. She got to her LL-1400 scoutship, ran onboard and started up the engines. Soon the scoutship had taken off and was flying above the buildings.

October sighed as he walked down the grimy streets of Coruscant, in all his life he had never seen a mod filthy place. The energy Vampire covered his nose at the scent of a dead animal. He hated bad smells. The teen's lightsabre sat nicely on his belt, there was no cloak covering it. The only way one would tell he was a Jedi was because of his lightsabre.

The Energy vampire heard a shot ring out of a nearby bar, seconds later a cloaked figure ran out. October frowned, ever so slowly he made his way to the cantina. His eyes scanned the scene, and the scent of blood hit his nose. He made his way to it's source: some fat twi'lek who was apparently still breathing. October noticed the blaster, then a dropped datapad. He sighed, as he knew that ill intentions surrounded the man.

The teen showed his fangs and sunk them deep into the man. He then drained the life energy out of him, leaving only a cold corpse. October wiped his mouth and stood up. He picked up the datapad and crushed it, then walked out of the cantina.

Upon walking out, he would see a ship take off. He shook his head, if he was going to help the girl, he'd have to find her.

As his LL-1400 entered the upper atmosphere, she slightly increased power to the engine. That had been a close call, she almost had been found out. But knowing the amount of credits on her head, she would have to find the Jedi or at least a safe place fast. She wasn't sure if her Force abilities could help her, she couldn't even control them. She had been looking for a Force user for almost two years now. Something inside her told her to hide at the planet of Voss. So she started up her scoutship's hyperdrive and soon jumped into hyperspace.

As the teen male, [member="October"] , watched the female Twi'lek take off in her ship, he would notice a dark clad figure moving in the shadows. If he was attuned enough, he would see a Blue skin duros, with a very distinctive large brim hat, nerf hid duster with split tails at the coat's end and a exotic hide tunic underneath. Sides the eccentrics of the humanoids apparel, it would be the two pistols he had holstered on either hips and what looked to be a rifle strapped to his back. He looked to be a creature of violence and it was obvious he was stalking the fleeing [member="Nam Keeoh"].

The bounty hunter known as 'Devil' Anse Tahvo had picked up on the trail of his quarry. Problem was, she was frigid and easily spooked. Before he could act on her, some local knuckle head spooked her and off she ran like a spooked iriaz. So the chase was on and once again the fear full twi'lek had just escaped his grasps, this time at the spaceport. He was lucky enough to be able to successfully get a tracking beacon onto her ship before she had taken off. Now, not knowing he wasn't the only one at the spaceport with interest in the girl, he took off to get on his own ship to pursue her.

Anse would hastily board his Lancer-class pursuit craft "Pay Day". Climing into the cockpit, he would strap himself into the pilot's seat and begin the process of take off. Usually he would of gone through a pre flight check of the ship, like any good pilot, but he was in a hurry and the more time he was ground side the colder the trail of his prey went. The duel engines ignited to life and the duros was quickly climbing up to the heavens and onward.

Her LL-1400 scoutship floated in hyperspace. She checked the engines, they were working fine. But the hyperdrive was low. She wouldn't make the jump. She decided to stop at Corellia to resupply before continuing the jump. She checked her blaster, it still had fifteen rounds to spare. She would need them.

Three minutes later, she jumped out near a Corellian spaceport. She lowered the engine power and plotted a route inside. Her ship's radio buzzed. A middle-aged human male said from the holo "Welcome to this spaceport. Show your identity please. Then you may come in."
She showed the man the ship's ID, and he took out a small buzzer. It scanned the ID, and flashed green. "You may come in. Four hour stay maximum." the man responded.

She slowly flew her scoutship into the hangar of the station. Turning the ship around and lowering its landing gear, it softly touched down. She put her blaster in her utility belt and put her hoodie over her head, including her lekkus. A humanlike protocol droid walked up to her as she stepped out of the craft. "Hello, would you like to be refueled?" the droid said.
"Yes, please. Hyperdrive only." she replied.
"That'll be 200 credits, please." the droid said in a robotic voice. She handed the droid the desired credits and watched as another droid refueled the ship's hyperdrive. She decided to stay, because there may be something useful in the shops. She walked out of the hangar bay, and into a marketplace. Beings of all shapes and sizes wandered around her, looking for their daily needs. She found a shop with a big sign over it saying MAPS OF THE GALAXY. SALE: ONLY 8 CREDITS PER MAP. She walked inside and looked for a suitable map.

October looked around and pulled his jacket on a bit more, he kept his hands out just in case anyone attempted to attack him for some odd reason. People always find a way to attack. He noticed a strange figure, pale blue skin and a weird hat. The man's stench irritated the boy. He turned and out of the corner of his blue eyes watched the man move, the man moved with a purpose. October recognised the man to be a bounty hunter by the name of Devil [member="Anse Tahvo"]. Soon he was taking off in his own ship. It made October feel a bit on edge. Let his hand hover over his lightsabre, then began to walk towards his ship.

He began to board his light cruiser. When he reached the cockpit he sighed and looked to the man who began the preflight rituals. It was hard to tell what species the man was due to the fact that he always wore full body armour topped with a mask. The teen sat in the co pilots chair and smiled, he put his arms behind his head and spun around in the chair. "Mason, go ahead and track the LL-1400 cruiser...If my hunch is correct, i feel the bounty just got harder to save. She left a few minutes ago." He said with a grin. Mason grunted and the ship began to pull off the planet and out of the atmosphere.

Mason pulled into hyperspace and the teen grinned. "You're always so quiet...Creeps me out, 'ts like you're going to slit my throat or something." The energy Vampire stated. Mason grunted again, it was almost like a low growl. October just laughed.

Soon they were out of hyperspace. On course for a nearby Corellian spaceport. A transmission came through the holopad. It was a male.

"Welcome to this spaceport. Show your identification please." Mason grunted. October smiled. "This is light freighter 'The Bloodied Rose' requesting permission to dock." There was a slight pause in the connection before the man responded. "You are clear to land."

Soon they were landed and October stood from his seat. "Hey Mason, see if you can pick up some of those raw bantha steaks for me, I'll be back soon." He said. The only response October got was a grunt. October pulled off his jacket so only his black tight fitting shirt was on his torso. It was tucked into his jeans and his lightsabre still hung from his belt.

As he exited the ship a droid asked if they needed a refill. October jumped away. "Shoo! You piece of tin." He began to walk towards a market of shops.

He reached out in the force and found a faint feeling that she was near. The Jedi smiled and continued on.

Mallith was searching the holonet to find anything they could about her bounty. All they could find was her looks and ship information. Nothing much. Although when they looked up more information about her ship, they found out it recently docked on Correllia. Mallith quickly ran to they're ship and took off. There was no time to lose. The longer they wait, the bigger chance Nam will get away.

When Mallith came out of hyperspace to Correllia, they landed in the spaceport Nam's ship was last seen in after verifying their information to a middle aged man.

As they exited their ship, a droid stopped them to ask "Hello, would you like to be refueled."

In response, Mallith simply stared at him for a moment before shooting him in his face with their DL-44.They looked around to find the ship and when they did, they put a tracker on the bottom. Mallith walked towards the exit of the hanger as they looked around for any sight of the bounty. Mallith did eventually find someone who did resemble Nam Keeoh in the marketplace outside of the hangerbay. She was looking around a map shop.

"Excuse me, miss." Mallith said in a friendly tone of voice as walked closer to Nam "I can't find the map of the Inner Rim. Won't you be a dear and help me find it?"

She hesitated for a second. "Inner Rim maps are toward the left of the shop." Sensing something was disturbing her, she slowly walked away from Mallith. She quickly bought a map of the Mid and Outer Rim, handing in the credits. Then, she exited the store, walking normally.

But the moment she got out of the store, she ran. She kept running until she saw a thick crowd of Twi'lek women, and joined in to help conceal herself. She gripped her blaster, in case any of them knew about her bounty. She kept moving inward until she was in the center of a group of green, blue, and purple Twi'lek women, surrounded by blues.

The group headed to a fashion store, but she never really liked fashion so she didn't buy anything. However, she still stuck in the group. Then the Twi'lek mob went to the hangar bay. Seeing her chance to escape, she followed. The rest of the Twi'leks went onto a large space taxi, but she ran over to her refueled scoutship. She lowered the docking bay and started up the engines, then raising the landing gear.

[member="Nam Keeoh"] would notice that the landing gear would not budge and shake the ship in its attempt to do as she commanded. In her rush to get space side, she did not notice the gravity locks that had been placed on her ship. Nifty devices, built to be nearly indestructible and capable of keeping ships from taking off with out deactivation. Was built to be a anti theft device, but in this instance it had served the purpose from keeping the hunter's prey from escaping. Anse had tracked her ship from couracant but had arrived shortly after she had debarked from her scout craft. So, instead of searching the local area, he decided to set a trap there and then on the gamble she would be back. Especially after she had just refueled.

Devil Anse Tahvo would step from the shadows of landing pad. His wide brim hat protected his red eyes from the light as he focused on the ship before him. His large leather duster flapped open, each side resting behind his duo holsters. Anse's long blue fingers rested gently on the grips of his blaster pistols as he waited for his prey to make the next move. He could imagine the panic look on the twi'lek's face as she figured out she was trapped.

"Come on out Twi'lek! Lets make this nice and easy!" His words were deliberately slow and metallicized by his breathing tubes.

She suddenly shook as the ship abruptly halted. Looking behind the ship, she saw a Duros. With a blaster. She sensed that he planned to kill him. Knowing she had an advantage in firepower and shielding, she focused all power on those functions. The ship softly landed, and its defense systems came to life.

Its rear laser cannons turned on the man and she prepared to fire as power flowed into them. The Duros has planned the wrong time to kill her, though it was clever to place whatever he had placed to weigh down the craft. She locked the aim of the laser cannons on the man.

The Corellian spaceport was more lively than ever, much to Samantha's preference. It had been a week since she left her night-cloaked hometown, stowing away on a merchant's shuttle for passage to places unknown. She had hoped the merchant was on his way out of the system, but to her chagrin, he was a shopkeeper at the closest spaceport. Without any money, equipment, or transportation...Sam would have to find her "adventure" at the spaceport.

Fortunately, the search for excitement had turned out to be much easier than she had anticipated. Commotion in the hangar bay had peaked, and upon arriving on the scene, she noticed a Duros in a leather duster step out of the shadows with twin pistols at his sides. His attention was focused on a parked ship, which made loud, disgruntled groans as if it were paralysed and desperately trying to put distance between itself and the Duros.

All of a sudden, Sam noticed a pair of laser cannons, mounted on the outside of the parked ship, swivel in place to face the man in the duster. It was then when she realised this was not a case of a good Samaritan stopping to help a piolet with engine troubles; this was a confrontation.

"Is he a merchant? A lot of the shopkeepers around here are packing, from what I've seen. Maybe this is a trade dispute?" Sam pondered silently as she watched the scene from the shadows of the landing pad.

Unsuccessful. Asking for help did not work. Mallith continued watching [member="Nam Keeoh"] even as she was in a mob. They would keep watching the mob until the bounty left. Then, Mallith would follow Nam stealthily. They hid behind a ship far away from but still in view of Nam's ship as a mysterious duros ([member="Anse Tahvo"]) walked towards the ship. He seemed to be shouting at Nam in the ship, but then Mallith noticed something. The duros his hands by two guns. In a panic, Mallith started walking towards the duros.

As they headed down the hanger bay, they bumped into a mysterious girl ([member="Samantha Tennyson"]) watching the duros "Out of the way."

Mallith continued walking down the hanger bay. They had an idea as of what the duros was going to do. He was going to steal their bounty! Mallith couldn't let that happen. They marched towards Nam's ship in a hurry before the duros could do anything too harsh.

"Woah, woah woah!" They yelled at the duros "This poor woman is only trying to leave. Why don't you let her?"

She had actually set the cannons to autolock on the Duros. She took a hidden back hatch down the ship and near the gravity locks, but still out of sight. She took out a very sharp metal cutter and slowly chopped off the landing gear to which the gravity locks were attached. The ship began to tilt, but she managed to climb back in.

From there, she ran back to the front of the ship and focused all power to sublight engines. The ship started to hover above the ground, what remained of its landing gear going into the ship. Its four engines rumbled before the ship gained speed and left the hangar.

She looked at her galaxy map again, and seeing that Hapes was the closest large planet that she could hide in, she prepared a jump. Soon, she was far ahead of the space station and jumped to lightspeed. (This is my last message, I will have another thread to continue the hunt soon.)
