[SIZE=10.5pt]Born on the desolate world of Apatros, Cayde's home was on the other side of the world from its only colony. Cayde's home in his younger years were among the Ruh tribe, a group of nomadic warriors and hunter-gatherers, who taught Cayde the basics of survival and combat. For some time, Cayde had a reasonable, though uncomfortable and dangerous life with the Ruh, until the tribe was attacked and slaughtered by a group of more technologically advanced hunters. Cayde and the other children from the tribe were kidnapped, and brought to the 'city' where their attackers hailed from, forced into slavery and the fighting pits.[/SIZE][SIZE=10.5pt]Initially pitted against his fellow Ruh, Cayde learned quickly that he needed to fight or be killed by his captors. Very quickly, Cayde became densitized to the idea of violence and cut himself off from his previous life, progressively slaughtering his old family and tribe in the ring as he gained favour with the tribal leaders in his new home. As he grew in strength, Cayde fought more and more young warriors, eventually being pitted against animals and older fighters. In his younger years, Cayde often suffered a number of wounds in the fights, but his skill developed rapidly, and he never lost a fight.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10.5pt]As he aged, Cayde became the the favourite fighter of the tribal leader - a dug by the name of Verin. Cayde was increasingly used to slaughter groups of new captives and lead other groups of gladiators in mock battles. With each fight, Cayde was promised more food and comforts, and he relished in them. However, Cayde remains vigilant, watching and waiting for his opportunity to destroy the dug who slaughtered his family, and his opportunity to escape the desolate hell of Apatros.[/SIZE]
