WEAKNESSES

• Two Birds, One Stone: Like with most all-in-one Captain's Choice component bundles, if one side of the comm/scan package is scrambled or damaged, it can impact the other connected system as well.
• Sensor-y Overload: Only a basic number of external and proximity scanners are running passively, so more in-depth and detailed scans need the user to manually check across all sensor spectrums.
• Chatterbox: The comms array only has a few basic security and encoding measures installed, which makes it easy to get your transmissions tracked or sliced.

DESCRIPTION
Another fantastic offering from the folks at Captain's Choice, the CC-C/S20 Comm-Scan Package is an all-inclusive hardware and software package designed for starships to provide a full range of communications and sensory equipment. The basic comms program covers the both subspace and hyperspace transmissions with high-definition audio, visual, and holographics. Additional boosters increase the range of these systems beyond common market arrays, while a backup comm-laser can be used for untraceable short-range messaging. However, the sensor package is perhaps the real star of the C/S20 as it covers a staggering range of spectrums and ranges both to keep track of local space and analyze targets. This sensor information can connect to the advanced targeting system to increase the efficiency and accuracy of weapons within scanner range.

Of course, all of these advanced systems are not without drawbacks, first and foremost being that tying the comm and sensor systems together means that they can easily be baffled or taken out simultaneously. At the same time, neither system is infallible, as the comms array is short on encryption or slicing protections while the layered sensor array requires manual input to cycle through scan types and get a full look at what is going on around the ship. Still, the C/S20 is an advanced all-in-one comm-scan package designed to provide Captain's Choice customers with everything they need to stay informed and connected in the modern galaxy.
