The standard field rations of the Crossroads Republic's troops and other field personnel. During training recruits who are not from the high-gravity locations of the other Crossroads colonies or Crossroads Prime itself are given these rations so that they can catch up biologically to their fellow recruits in terms of their unique biological abilities. Much of the massive amount of foodstuffs produced by the Crossroads Prime colonies go towards the production of these rations, and massive warehouses of them are kept in storage on all the Crossroads colonies in the event of a siege against any of them. In the field these rations are lifesavers, able to provide enough nutrition and energy for a full day of combat operations, as well as the more sought-after recipes being excellent trade goods amongst soldiers.

- Average Life: Meant to provide full day's nutrition and energy for combat operations, the steroids have several months of effects if consumed for only a few days. If constantly consumed for months its effects can last years. If consumed for several years the effects can become permanent, but the new effects cannot be passed down to the consumers' children.
