BIG Z1776
Baboon with a MAAWS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Designed as the replacement for the FT-90 "Crossguard" and improves on it in all respects. It is a new starfighter, fast, maneuverable, and flexible, and the pilots who fly it are the best. While there are a great many Crossguards still in service the Banshee is rapidly replacing it in main fleet units. This craft is designed as a frontline space superiority fighter, able to outmaneuver and outrun other frontline starfighters and neutralize them. Its flying wing design is meant to be a passive countermeasure to detection by lesser scanners on pirate and insurgent ships. Like other CDI products it is designed and built using the lessons of more than seven-hundred years of war games and constant dogfights, incorporating all the little lessons and feedback of their pilots. One of these lessons is the importance of command and control and accurate interception while maneuvering these fighters where they will be able to do the most damage and to avoid fights and opponents it will lose out against. It is an impressive capability which most other fighters cannot match. These fighters are able to perform some very impressive maneuvers although dedicated dogfighters and many droid starfighters would outrun and outmaneuver it, although this craft take hits that those fighters can't, and it can outrun and outmaneuver strike fighters although it usually can't take the hits from craft like them.
