BIG Z1776
Baboon with a MAAWS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The go-to hunter-killer, and recon craft of the Crossroads Republic Armed Forces for contested airspace strike missions. Its light build, semi-stealthy profile, and powerful jammers make this craft tough for air defenses to detect except at close ranges. However, when detected, it relies on pre-programmed evasive maneuvers and jammers to prevent destruction and even weapons like heavy blaster cannons have the firepower to bring it down. But this craft usually never flies at such a low altitude, usually it'll fly at cloud level or just below it, and will not stray too far into enemy airspace. This craft carries four hardpoints, able to take various bombs or missiles on its missions and it possesses a pair of nose-mounted light laser cannons in the chin of the craft for self-defense. However, there are some deficiencies in this droid, it cannot go into space, meaning it has to be transported into atmosphere in order for it begin operations, and it is no fighter, not possessing the programming or the flight characteristics to handle air-to-air combat against anything more capable than itself.

- Powerful thrusters and avionics to provide additional capabilities to the craft's elusiveness.
- Has weak deflector shields able to deflect shrapnel and airbursts as well as weak laser blasts.
- Droid brain is capable plotting its own flight path and can self-course correct and target its own weapons based on pre-determined rules of engagement and selected target profiles.
- Advanced multi-spectral scanners and sensors are linked to a powerful communications suite provide a direct link to command networks to give a live-feed.
- Sensors feeding its targeting computer provides highly-precise bomb drops and missile strikes at high speeds on moving targets, mostly tanks and other vehicles.
- EM scanners provide an ideal SEAD platform to go after enemy air defenses.
- Capable of aggressive autonomous operations.
- Live-feed comms links its highly-sensitive sensors and scanners.
- Long-range/high-endurance flight means this can provide constant battlefield support to ground forces.
- Fast and maneuverable, starfighter-level nimbleness.
- Flexible payloads thanks to external hardpoints.
- Capable SEAD platform thanks to its scanners.
- Has no armor whatsoever.
- Vulnerable to intercept from starfighters.
