BIG Z1776
Baboon with a MAAWS
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
When the Crossroads Republic's own Silver Guardians were formerly commissioned the immense bureaucracy of the government sought to quantify and catalogue all possible items and inventories used by them. This meant that, even then, lightsabers were catalogued and inventoried with unique designations. As the first generation of Silver Guardians, former Jedi, died off and/or retired, new Silver Guardians found a new weapon waiting for them, the LS-1 Lightsaber, the second oldest weapon model in continuous use by the Crossroads Republic. Each and every crystal is chosen in the same manner as the Jedi of old did, but these crystals are always Velmorite from Crossroads-27. This weapon is never to be separated from their Guardian owners, except in the event of an undercover mission. Beyond this, the lightsaber's only major claim to fame is that it has anti-theft devices within it, which are present more as a safety feature due to the Silver Guardians' status as government agents, therefore being potentially liable to lawsuit, so the group needed to satisfy government safety standards.

- Has a palm scanner built into the weapon to prevent unauthorized use by anyone but a Silver Guardian.
- Has a locator beacon built into the power regulator to track them and their users in the event of theft.
- Projects a silver-colored blade with a control able to adjust the length of the blade.
- Retains the same advantages of normal lightsabers: Deflects blasters, melts most known solid materials, can duel other lightsabers, etc.
- Has excellent anti-theft devices to prevent the weapon being used against its own owner.
- Retains the same disadvantages of normal lightsabers, namely it won't cut through beskar and can cut its own user if they are not careful.
- Its anti-theft devices can mean trouble if the owner needs someone else to use the blade to aid them when they themselves cannot utilize their weapon.
