Darth Pyrrhus
Well-Known Member
Name: Cedric Naiad
Loyalties: Darth Pyrrhus
Role: Agent
Development Threads: N/A (but will dev him up if you want me to)
Age: 24
Species: Epicanthix
Force Sensitivity: Yes (Knight)
Appearance: Cedric has gained a reputation for being foppish and vain. He is deeply concerned with appearance and behaviour. He always appeared nicely groomed and well dressed in fine, expensive clothes. When he can he will also adorn gold and precious gems. His appearance fits well with his flamboyant mannerisms. Because of his well-manicured appearance, Cedric often finds himself underestimated and not considered a serious threat.
True to his Epicanthix heritage, his hair is dark and his eyes green. Cedric is also quite tall, standing nearly two meters high. He changes his hairstyle to fit with the latest trends, though usually prefers those that favour medium-long to long length of hair. The youthful man is handsome with a well-trained, athletic body.

Personality: Cedric behaves in a way that can be viewed as both aristocratic and flamboyant. Many find him witty or charming, while more serious and conservative people are likely to find him to be simply annoying. This frequently puts him at odds with his current employer, Darth Pyrrhus. Fortunately for Cedric, he’s good at what he does.
The Epicanthix is both charming and charismatic. He is gifted in the art of natural persuasion. The man is a bit of a hedonist, enjoying a playful and carefree lifestyle when he can. Cedric is also a materialist, taking pleasure in having fine clothing and valuable possessions.
On the opposite side of the coin, we find Cedric’s pride and arrogance. His access to wealth combined with great natural talents has made him quite arrogant. He does not take kindly to having his pride wounded. The Epicanthix has a history of short temper and violent tendencies.
Weapon of Choice: Lightsaber (purple)
Wealth: Notable
Combat Function: In combat Cedric takes on the role of cocky provocateur. He is confident in his own abilities, and finds it hard to imagine the galaxy would host many that could match his skill. This is of course far from the truth, and in large parts the result of an inflated ego. In those instances when he finds himself outmatched, he’s more likely to seek a way out of combat than fight to the end. Cedric would rather live to drink another day.
His fighting style can be described as elegant and clean. He is a duellist wielding a lightsaber as his preferred weapon. The lightsaber style he uses is Form II, Makashi. When he wants to downplay his own Force Sensitivity, for example when working undercover, he will usually rely on blaster pistols to do his work for him. He will seek to avoid hand-to-hand combat as much as he can, considering it savage and primitive.
When it comes to the Force, he mostly uses it to support his swordplay. He knows how to use the Force to enhance his physical attributes, such as speed, endurance and strength. Because of Cedric often being sent on missions behind enemy lines, it has become essential for him to be able to mask his Force presence, as well as his dark alignment. Pyrrhus never revealed all his secrets to the Epicanthix, nor does he intend to, but he has shown him how to use Force Drain. Thanks to his Epicanthix heritage, Cedric has been blessed with a rare genetic immunity to Force-assisted mental tricks, influence, domination and mind reading.
Cedric’s weakness is his pride. He thinks highly of himself, easily picturing himself to be some kind of nobleman although he is not of noble birth. He expects people to view him through the same lens. He can be goaded into battle. Further, Cedric only fights a fight he can win. Some would call him a coward, though he’d prefer the term survivor. This makes him more reliable as an agent than a warrior or assassin. Cedric being Cedric, there’s also a good chance he might show up to a fight inebriated.

Advanced skills in lightsaber combat
- Trained in Makashi
Other Notes:
Cedric acts like he came from wealth and nobility, but he is in fact low-born. The Epicanthix grew up in poverty, but lived close enough to the upper-class to observe the splendorous wealth of the aristocrats. He decided early that he wanted that for himself. Even to this day his humble beginnings bothers him, disgusts him even. It is not a detail he would willingly reveal to anyone.
Being a Force Sensitive he was inducted into the Jedi Order from a young age, and shown the ways of the Force. The young boy quickly showed a quickness to anger. With age and as his powers grew he also adopted a great arrogance and inflated sense of self. His violent tendencies had him often put at odds with the Jedi. The young man had an interest in Sith artifacts that bordered on obsession. His fascination with the Sith combined with his un-Jedilike nature had him eventually fall to the Dark Side.
In short, Cedric grew bored. The restrictive values of the Jedi did not suit him. He wanted freedom. After one reprimand speech too many, Cedric left. He did not join up with any other order, but pursued his own interest and wealth, setting himself up like one of the aristocrats he had observed as a child. He made a point of surrounding himself with extravagance and material goods.
Eventually his paths crossed with Darth Pyrrhus. Though more of a Dark Jedi than Sith, Pyrrhus considered him to be useful. Dark Jedi were of course filth in the eyes of the Sith Lord, but he was willing to put his prejudice aside. Cedric got the job done. His attitude was a small price to pay. He could sneak in, get places without being mistaken or otherwise identified as a Sith, for he was none.
Cedric on his side realised that through working for Pyrrhus he would want for nothing. It started as an occasional mission here and there, but in time they came to rely on each other more. Pyrrhus had access to wealth, as well as Sith artifacts and secrets that fascinated the Dark Jedi greatly. Being more of a Sith associate than Sith himself, he avoided the tedious burdens of committing to an order but still found himself able to gain from its knowledge.
Intent: To create an NPC agent of Darth Pyrrhus to do his bidding and be slightly more useful than Kregan (NPC Acolyte with similar function). This character is not intended for competitive PvP, with the possible exception of dominions or testing Pyrrhus’ PC apprentices. I’ve also agreed to calm down on pumping out new PCs. The Codex is my nicotine patch.
