creeping roots

______________________________________________
NAME: Cerbera
AGE: Unknown, appears in her late twenties to early thirties. In reality much older.
SPECIES: Flora-based Sithspawn
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: Tall
WEIGHT: Lithe
FORCE SENSITIVITY: Yes
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Cerbera is an ethereal yet unsettling presence, her appearance straddling the line between beauty and unease. Her skin holds a faint, unnatural luster, a byproduct of extensive Sith alchemy. A shaved head underlines her sharp features, while her piercing amber eyes gleam with predatory curiosity. Her form is lithe, yet subtly deceptive, housing a resilience that belies her seemingly delicate build. She favors elegant robes of deep purples and blacks, woven with arcane symbols and Sith sigils—robes that seem almost alive, shifting in response to unseen energies. Her fingers, elongated and tapering, are often stained with the residue of her latest alchemical endeavors.
INVENTORY
- Alchemical Attire: A set of enchanted robes that provide resistance to the elements and minor Force-based attacks.
- Sith Tomes & Artefacts: A personal collection of ancient knowledge, including rituals, alchemical formulas, and esoteric secrets.
- Flora-based Alchemical Enhancements: Infused with Sith alchemy, Cerbera's body naturally regenerates at an accelerated rate, and her skin exhibits a minor resistance to toxins.
- Personal Lab: A hidden mobile laboratory containing rare specimens, experimental creations, and tools for her dark craft.
- Ceremonial Dagger: A Sith-forged weapon used in rituals, its edge unnaturally keen.
Cerbera is methodical, analytical, and utterly unflinching in her pursuit of knowledge. She sees herself as both creator and curator, shaping life itself according to her whims. Emotion, to her, is secondary to understanding, and while she is not devoid of feeling, she views attachment as a weakness. Her curiosity is voracious, but never reckless—every experiment is calculated, every move intentional. The only connection she ever truly valued was with Darth Ophidia, and even that was an anomaly in her otherwise solitary existence.
Cerbera does not believe in the Sith Code in its traditional form, nor does she align with dogma. To her, the Force is a tool, and the Sith are merely one means to an end. True power, in her mind, lies in the ability to reshape reality itself, and through alchemy, she comes closest to that ideal.
STRENGTHS
- Master of Sith Alchemy & Sorcery: Cerbera's understanding of alchemical transmutation is unmatched, allowing her to alter living beings, create new species, and imbue objects with dark power.
- Botanical Manipulation: Her connection to flora enables her to wield Plant Surge with terrifying efficiency, controlling and mutating plant life to serve her will.
- Unnatural Resilience: Due to her heavily altered physiology, she recovers from wounds faster than most, and many conventional poisons and diseases have little effect on her.
- Mental Instability: Her prolonged exposure to Sith alchemy and experimentation on herself has left fractures in her psyche, leading to bouts of paranoia and detachment from reality.
- Cold and Isolated: While a brilliant mind, Cerbera's detached nature makes it difficult for her to form lasting alliances. Her manipulative tendencies alienate those who could have been allies.
- Overconfidence in Her Creations: She believes in her work above all else, sometimes failing to see flaws in her experiments until it is too late.
Born not of natural means but of creation, Cerbera was once Cerita Sarova, an apprentice of Lord Dissero and a student of the renowned alchemist Rave Merrill. Under their guidance, she honed her craft, eventually surpassing the expectations placed upon her. It was her affinity for Plant Surge, paired with her own flora-based nature, that led her down a path of transformation, both physical and psychological.
Dissatisfied with the limits of her own existence, Cerbera delved into Sith Alchemy, reforging herself in pursuit of perfection. Yet perfection came at a cost—her mind, once driven by mere curiosity, became consumed by cold calculation. Embracing her corruption, she abandoned her old name and became Cerbera, a being as poisonous as the plants she controlled.
As her experiments grew more ambitious, so too did her influence. She shaped species, twisted life, and from the shadows played a role in galactic events, aligning herself with various Sith factions. It was through these dealings that she encountered Darth Ophidia, the only being she ever considered an equal, their partnership one of pragmatism and mutual benefit.
But all things end.
Her name faded into obscurity, her influence waned, and at some point, she simply disappeared. Some whispered that she had been sealed away, her creations deemed too dangerous to roam free.
For years, she was silent.
And then, something changed.
Someone went looking. Someone found what should have remained lost.
And the monster awoke once more.
