Certain lightsaber design help

Ello,

I have an idea for a lightsaber that would fit really well with my character's rogue/ bounty hunter side. This is the second of two lightsabers I plan on submitting, the other one already has most of the sheet written and a development thread on the way. This second one needs a lot more help from the experts though. So help? Pwease?

I got the idea from Ezra's lightsaber/ blaster hybrid from Rebels, however it is different in some areas:
- I plan on the lightsaber blade being normal sized, not light and small like Ezra's.
- How can I actually make the damage like actual blaster bolts and not stun? That's where it may need major work.
- Let's make the hilt's metal grubby a blaaaack! B) Okay?

Aside that, it's basically the same thing. Some guidelines based on this idea would be great in preparation for a solid submission. Also, don't comment here just to hate on Ezra or the show he's from xD lol

Thank you! :)
- Elvira.

Fundamentally, Ezra's sabre is all the precedent you need. A longer sabre blade and killshots instead of stunshots? Those are largely cosmetic differences. You could literally submit your sabre with a modified version of an image of Ezra's and it'd be fine.

Probably a larger powercell. But that'll mean it'll have a bigger hilt and therefore have a longer blade and generally be larger than the original, which will fulfill your desires of it being larger than the original.

If the original saber was smaller than your average saber, the end result with be typical size.

Also, don't worry about the materials part unless you've got a super rare saber crystal, that when activated, deploys several Death Stars to your aid. You can quite literally just put: "Materials: Durasteel, Lightsaber components." Unless you want your hilt to be lightsaber blade resistant, which will then require a development thread.

[member="Mordecai Zambrano"] I listed "Metal alloys, a lightsaber crystal, all other things needed for lightsabers + additional alloys and stuff needed for blasters.", but your description sounds much more professional xD

EDIT: Mind if I send my rough draft to you or another judge?

Another question, what materials would be needed for this thing? I imagine a long list...
Durasteel, Lightsaber Components, Blaster Components, [Crystal Name Here].

While you don't really need a development thread for this (if you have one that's great), I would suggest one for any rare/powerful lightsaber crystals, such as a Lignan Crystal, or something of the sort, that are limited in nature.
