- Refillable: Recovered dispersion grenades can, with the right equipment, be refilled with cyclo-dioxis. This process is time consuming, but worth the effort for those with a tight budget.
- Stay awake: Cyclo-dioxis immobilizes the target, but does not knock them out. Those hit by the gas therefore stay conscious and aware of their surroundings.
- Potent immobilizer: Cyclo-dioxis is a colourless and odourless gas, able to hinder its target's capabilities to move after exposure. Inhalation of the gas will slow the target first, with prolonged exposure leading to a state of immobility.
- Pressurized: The dispersion grenades are pressurized to keep their content in liquid-state. This allows for a greater volume to be stored, and a swift release after detonation.
- Filter protection: The effects of the gas are based on inhalation. Therefore, a filter mask, oxygen tank, or a Jedi's breath control may nullify the effects of the grenade.
- Open space: The cloud of gas dissipates quickly when detonated outside or close to ventilation.
Shortly after taking the name Krayt and donning his Beskar'gam for the first time, Radon began his career as bounty hunter. But his preference to capture bounties alive created the need for non-lethal weaponry. Seeking a cheaper alternative to buying concussion and stun grenades, Radon decided to engineer his own.
Designed primarily for use indoors, the Ch-31 dispersion grenade is able to silently immobilize its often unaware targets. Upon activation by release of the pressure switch, the six cylindrical vents opened to release the chemical agent. Due to its unique shape, three of these vents will always face upward to allow for optimal gas release.
