Darth Vulcanus
Better than other-other space Kaiden
(I am an alt of Vulcanus, being used for story reasons! The writer will not use Vulcanus in this thread to avoid alt boosting!)
"Watch it, Dropbox! Force be damned, I can barely take this sloshing about without your dumbass hitting me!" Slugger, the stormtrooper behind Leon, hissed as he got back his footing and held his armor platted stomach
"Oh, sorry princess. I-I" Reeko tried to finish it off with something quirky, but he found himself grabbing the seals of his helmet and throwing it to the ground as his stomach evacuated itself over the dull, grey floor of the craft. The troopers in front and to his sides jumped away, some laughing while others just groaned in disgust.
"Nice one, Dropbox!" Private Roha chimed, her armored hand slapping Leon on the back a few times from his left side, "glad to see Vulcanus picked only the best for our unit" she teased, a sly grin hiding behind her helmet.
"Oh, very funn-" too late, another projectile had already forced its way up from Leon's stomach. Leon was riding with a group of Stormtroopers known as the 501st, the most experienced troopers the Emperor had to offer from his Stormtrooper Legions. They had fought during the old times, when Vulcanus first took the title of Emperor before the Sith fell to the Republic. Leon was around then, just gotten out of basic when the Empire fell and was forced to choose between joining up with some warlord or seeking out the new era of the Sith with a few loyal stormtroopers. It was obvious which one he had picked, and he was rewarded greatly for his loyalty by receiving a spot in the most glorified legion to ever have existed.
As the open top vessel skimmed over the surface of the water, Leon continued to try and hold his gut in and did so by focusing on the bit of seaweed stuck to his lieutenants back. "Oh yeah baby, here comes the flyboys!" slugger shouted as a growling hum began to fill the air and drown out even the sounds of the ocean. Leon was inexperienced and if Slugger hadn't said so he would have never known that the sound he heard were Imperial ships. They could have been mortars, or giant alien birds or glitter rising from the ocean for all he would have known.
Woozim
The TIEs shot past overhead like tiny meteorites and left a roaring army of cheering 501st legionaries in their wake. "Go fry their asses!" Roha screamed, climbing the edge of the craft to look out over the ocean. Leon watched her, well at least a certain portion of her anatomy. The Force help him if she noticed, friendly fire tended to happen when new recruits were concerned...
"Guy's, you can see the city from here, check it out!"
Some of the lower ranking stormtroopers jumped up to see, but the lieutenant and his sergeants just looked at their subordinates like they were a bunch of idiots. That was the thing about the old breed, they were always acting like they were watching over a kindergarten class. Leon was going to be damned if he wasn't going to help make that stereotype look more like fact.
Carefully he grabbed hold of the short wall that made up the side of the craft, hoisting himself up and trying not to get sick again. By the force the ocean looked more angry than it felt, the pigment had died from the light blues he remembered and become a dark, almost black blob of liquid that pounded the sides of the invaders ships. The planet had come to life and it seemed like it hated the Imperials just as much as the natives who inhabited it. Looking off into the distance before the ship, Leon could see the city they were assaulting and the TIEs that were disappearing past the horizon. The city was a magnificent sight of sleek steel and heavenly blues, like they were constructs of some celestial beings. The beach, however, had become twisted and barricaded into a construct of war.
Pillboxes lay on top of what must have been a terraformed hill, obstacles the size of small speeders stuck into the ground to act as barricades against the amphibious vehicles. That's when the reality of the situation hit the green-as-grass stormtrooper. He wasn't guarding a stick in the ground anymore, no this was what a real war looked like...this was what he had asked for but it was nothing like he expected. In his mind the skies were bright and the Empire came crashing in like archangels to save the day. Here though, on the oceans of this planet he had never heard of, he sat in a sloshing pool of his own vomit on seas that wished to swallow him. The skies blanketed with grey clouds and pelting rain and all the colors far too grim.
"We're coming for you!" Slugger laughed and taunted to the enemy that he could not even see yet....trouble was that they responded
A great beam of red energy sparked from the beach's hill, crashing into the dark ocean like hell fire and taking a pod full of stormtroopers with it. The explosion shook the very fabrics of time, sending a tower of water pulsing dozens of feet into the air and littering dozens of vessels with flaming shrapnel and freezing water.
"HOLY HELL!" was all that Leon could get out before he falling backwards and right into the warm puddle he had left on the vessel's floor.
"HEADS DOWN! HEADS DOWN!" Lieutenant Gates screamed, shoving a nearby trooper's head nearly to the floor at his feet. Everyone had jumped away from the sides and grabbed their guns tight, as if they would somehow save them from the fiery death that they had no control over.
Unnatural screams shrieked overhead as enemy aircraft engaged the forces in the water, being met in dogfights by the New Order's own fighters. Leon fumbled for his rifle as the sounds of war grew louder, blaster cannons firing powerful bursts of energy into the helpless landing craft.
"EVERYONE JUST STAY DOWN UNTIL WE GET TO THE LANDING ZONE!" Leon heard his superior cry out over the sounds of battle. This wasn't what he expected, no he didn't want to be here. Someone take him back to the stick in the ground or back home! anywhere but here
Grabbing for his helmet, Leon stuck it quickly back onto his head...it was the only bit of security he had left.

"Dear mom and dad,
It's been thirty days since the New Order sent me to this backwater planet, had me guarding a damn stick in the ground most of the time. Me and the guys got to thinking that maybe the Emperor wasn't aware that his elite fighting unit was just sitting around on their chebs all day. Sergeant Conway went to speak to Vulcanus about it, he hasn't come back for three days. The guys are worried, but no sooner had they started talking about it then we got the deployment orders from the big guy. I told them 'see, nothing to worry about you bunch of ewok poodoos, he probably impressed the Emperor and got himself a nice position leading this assault'. They didn't seem too convinced but hell, what else could have happened to him? I'm sure he will turn up after this fight is over. I'm excited to finally get my ass in the real dirt, i'll write you guys back soon.
Love, Leon

The water furiously kicked about the amphibious vehicle like an angsty horse at the starting line. Water sloshed about and whole lakes loads of salt water seemed to rise high above the glorified bucket and then topple across the little white heads that stood like sardines throughout it. Crash, another angry wave came over the top of Leon and knocked him straight backward and into another seaweed covered form behind him. He grabbed onto the side rail, trying to hold himself up and his lunch in as the ocean took its time throwing him about. "Watch it, Dropbox! Force be damned, I can barely take this sloshing about without your dumbass hitting me!" Slugger, the stormtrooper behind Leon, hissed as he got back his footing and held his armor platted stomach
