SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Self Repairing: Designed to repair itself over time from small damage in minutes to hours to large damage in days.
STRENGTHS
  • Exotic Matter: The ethereal nature of the metal makes it near weightless despite being and looking dense within the pocket dimension of dream. In realspace it can be grasped and there is a steady supply able to be used by Krass. When smelted with other materials it can decrease the weight of the material created by 50 percent.
WEAKNESSES
  • Self repairing: While it can repair its own micro stress fractures the capabilities can take days to hours depending on how damaged they become from use.
  • Exotic Particles: Largely unknown and not seen in the galaxy before. It isn't invincible nor is it really strong but it reacts violently near dark and anti-matter which can disrupt and destroy it or even cause it to rupture and disintegrate.
DESCRIPTION
A beast of armor constructed and made by Chai La. As their skills with smiting have improved and their skills with using more exotic materials to try and strengthen their own metals. Tysk commissioned them to try and work with the synth mesh, a force enhanced wintrium and see how it could function with beskar. A small amount, she wasn't looking to try and make armored divisions with it but the synthkar was created. Tougher then anything they could work with as it hardened almost instantly with the heat drying it out and heavier then anything they had worked with before. It is not something that can function for armor or even most fighters.

It is made for using on the heaviest doors and structures. The surface of it a reflective black that has been made with additional materials to provide it a more valuable property. From Chai La exclusively compare to many of the other materials and moving it is comparable to moving tunqstoid. Protection wise though, it is not as strong as normal beskar The expensive nature of making the material itself ensure it is generally in small quantities that few can afford to make it for their personal use. Armies are doubtful to use it aside from in massive transports or such to bring all of them.

The years have been klind to the mandalorian clan... being able to largely work in seclusion and being ignored they have developed and redeveloped the metal itself into powerful plates and a form of beskar that is distinctive to their clan. The Chai La beskar is black with grooves of red and took much inspiration as they worked it from the reports of the magnus creature encountered from the harvesters. It can repair itself over time and pure plates of it function like normal beskar but where they can be damaged these will slowly start to repair themselves adding to their longevity.

One of the biggest problems though is the weight as even with refining and using smaller amounts it is still super dense and weighs down most armors or equipment made from it.

rotection wise though, it is stronger then almost anything in the galaxy with the exception of quantum crystalline armor and the substance the monoliths are made out of.

So to sum up:
  • Self-repairing
  • beskar
  • that repels Darksiders
  • and is stronger than anything allowable on Chaos
  • and gets stronger with time
  • and combines two restricted materials.

Is this an accurate summary?

[member="Jorus Merrill"] just about, strongest material may differ as there is a lot in the galaxy. I am more then certain I missed something heavier. That a set of armor was already made like this set a tone and this will be largely heavier and hopefully balanced enough so that it can't be used for anything people will be running around with.

Only in rare instances are two restricted materials allowed per submissions, but its all dependent on why. If it's cortosis blades being used on beskar armor, we'll allow it. If it's a cortosis-beskar alloy.... you're going to get denied. Don't blend restricted materials

Thoughts?

That in terms of pvp this submission would be horrible. You wouldn't be able to move and wielding it would be like trying to use Stendarr's Hammer. So its pvp valuable doesn't exist, it is too heavy for fighters and producing enough to plate an entire ship would be like trying to get enough neuranium to cover an entire ship. Highly impractical. From a story perspective it would make sense to try and recreate something they had created before.

If you dial down the strength to be less than straight beskar and the reconstructive properties to be less than straight laminanium, I might be cool with this. The two-restricted-materials thing is longstanding convention but not a posted rule, so the final call would be with The Boss as to whether that's a precedent that should be set.

I also find myself wondering about the gaps between these statements:

Heavy and not fit for standard armor

Modularity: Can be used on armor,
Are you aiming for this to be used in powered armour?

[member="Jorus Merrill"] that is actually leftovers, as I was making it the original idea was wardroid armor plaiting, then well someone pointed out it was kind of OP so shifted it to being unusably heavy in most places it could be used. Now it is something you'd make vault, base or tomb doors out of if you want to keep people out.
