Change. (Darron)

Pfc. Monty Jusik stood on the steps of Coruscant's famed Jedi Temple. He wore his Military BDUs and anxiously looked up at the towering building with a nervous glint in his eye. So much had happened in the past six months that he was still processing it all. He'd went from kingpin and aspiring Sith to Republic Army enlisted man.

The transformation was astounding but deep down the anger and Dark Side still lurked, ready to make him into a monster again at almost any moment. The young Jusik didn't want to live like that. In fear.

He slowly began to climb the steps to the temple entrance. Wary of all who passed.

Blue eyes scanned the war-torn landscape before him. The repairs on the temple were still ongoing from the devastation that Omni and his World Devastators had caused. Smoke still billowed from a few fires that had yet to be put out, but like always life went on. The temple on Coruscant was reopened, and Jedi came back in droves. The temple on Tython was beautiful, but it was key that people see the Jedi in public after such an attack. That was why the GrandMaster and the Council had agreed to send a sizeable contingent back to the galactic capital. Training was resuming, and new prospects were being allowed in to be tested in the ways of the Jedi.

After all, with war looming more Jedi would be needed in this dark time.

Dressed in plain robes, with his hood firmly over his head. The GrandMaster of the Order leaned against one of the pillars, reaching out with the Force. Feeling a conflicted aura, he headed over to the man and addressed him. While keeping who he was a secret the whole time.

"Greetings, why have you come here lost soul?"

Monty felt a strong presence approach him, one that permeated light throughout the force. He almost felt overwhelmed at the light as the man approached him.

What did he seek? Redemption.

"Redemption Master Jedi." Monty replied with a short bow.

Darron bowed back, still keeping his face covered.

"Why do you seek redemption, follow me and tell me your story."

With that the GrandMaster, still keeping his identity a secret turned and headed towards the inside of the temple. Even without the Force, he could tell the man was troubled. His shoulder seemed to struggle with the weight of a guilty concious , and his face looked quite troubled. With his field of responsibility leaning towards the young man accompanying him, Darron kept getting the feeling this man was familiar. It was as if there was something at the back of his mind that was letting him know there was a nugget of information there. Something important he needed to ask, but it wouldn't come to the surface.

So instead he listened.

Monty walked with the mysterious Jedi further. He had a strange feeling that he should pour out his soul to this man, despite not knowing his identity.

"I was born on Tatooine eighteen years ago to a poor waitress. A good woman but poor. I didn't meet my father until I was sixteen." He paused for a moment.

"At age six I was recruited by a Hutt as an assassin. He trained me in the ways of murder and I served under him until I was fourteen, when the Hutt deemed me worthy for a management position which I happily took. For two years I plotted and schemed, building up my assets in order to take control of vice in Mos Espa. My schemes were successful and I was a happy, vicious teen. I met my father. I had a fit of rage and murdered him in front of my mother, in the process discovering my talent in the force."

"I sought the Sith and trained with them for a while, exploiting the force for my own selfish needs. All the while my industry expanded, so much so that there's a front company still operating with my name plastered on the front of it. I owned Tatooine." He shook his head.

"Then in all my power I began to notice things wrong with the galaxy. Things I was doing. Things others were doing. What was wrong with me? I didn't know, I felt lost. Then in a dream my father spoke to me and showed me the way, apologized for what he did and forgave me for what I did. I contacted my aunt and enlisted in the Republic Army as a Combat Medic. I feel as though I have purpose but I still feel lost. Guilty."

By the time Monty finished his eyes darkened and a saddened look came over him as he spoke of his father and his own wrongdoings.

The GrandMaster of the Jedi Order simply walked with the young man, and listened to him. Darron spent a great deal of time just feeling the man's emotions in the Force. It was one thing to have a sob story like most who walked to he temple steps, it was another for it to be true and there to be heartfelt emotion in there. So there, in the temple corridors the young man was already undergoing his first trial. The Jedi Master couldn't possibly know how to feel though, he had watched both of his parents be murdered. The closest thing he had to knowing the feeling was when he had to kill his own brother for being a Sith Lord. Not to mention the friends and allies that had fallen to the darkside that he had had to stop.

There has been too much death, maybe training this boy will help?

It was a hopeful question, and the Jedi Master paused in his steps as he looked at the boy from his hooded visage.

"What is your name, and what organization do you refer to?"

"Monty Jusik. The Jusik Crime Syndicate." Monty replied as he continued to walk.

He was curious as to how the Jedi would respond to such a response and his criminal past.

"So that means your father was Davin Jusik, I fought alongside him many times."

Darron paused midstride, it pained him to know how the brave soldier had died. He had deserved so much more, and the human reaction would have been anger. The Master of the Force was a Jedi first though, his emotions left him with a simple exhale.

"My name is Darron Wraith, you may know who I am. I will train you only to make sure you can become more than the murderer of your father, and because I sense his goodness in you."

He removed his hood to reveal his expressionless face, and he adjusted his blonde hair as he continued to walk.

Monty was stunned. Only me he thought to himself. Only he could vent to a random Jedi about his terrible actions and it turn out to be not only the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order but also a personal friend of his father's.

"Thank you Master." Monty said as he continued to walk, nearly weak in the knees from what he'd just told a stranger and who the stranger had turned out to be.

"Well my new Padawan. Go see yourself to the assistant over there, tell her you are my Padawan. She will take you to your new quarters, and I expect to see you later this afternoon in the training hall. I"m sure you can feel my Force signature? Meet me in four hours, and don't be late."

With that Darron allowed his Force-signature to shine brightly as he walked off, Monty's training was only just beginning.
