In the early weeks of the new year, I've had to rethink some of my choices and priorities. Regretfully, I have decided to step down as Faction Owner.
I have taken a lot of time to think about this, but it is the only reasonable choice for me to make. RL pressure has been taking its toll as of late, and it is not going to ease up in the near future. I am in the finishing stage of my Master thesis, and I find that I do not have as much time for Chaos as I would like nor as much time for studies as I need. As much as I’d like more Chaos-time, I need to step up my game and get my priorities straight, knowing that if I miss my deadline I’m only looking at more loans and apartment hunting.
While I have time to drop in and make a few posts here and there during breaks, it’s difficult to devote more time to planning, management and implementing policies. It’s not fair for me to let the rest of the team do the heavy lifting if I’m not able to do the same. A big faction like the OS deserves an FO that can devote more time and focus to its duties. This is a demanding position, and my 2016 schedule only allows for casual mode.
At the end of the day this is a hobby, and I have to acknowledge that I’m treating it as a job. Enjoyable as it is, with everything else going on it is also draining. I will still be around, I simply need to find a way to make this into a hobby again. Hopefully this means I will be able to have more of an IC presence, and RP more consistently (without needing a week to reply).
Big thanks to [member="Isamu Baelor"], [member="Darth Ophidia"] and [member="Darth Azurea"] - it's been a pleasure working with you as part of the faction leadership.
It’s been a pleasure everyone. I have full faith that the faction will thrive under whomever the members elect. Out of all the factions I’ve had my characters in, I have found the One Sith to be the most welcoming and inclusive faction, with the most fun things going on. Don’t ever change
