Changes to the Canon Company Claim process

With some recent and past events, the Factory Staff has decided that to obtain a Canon Company, by auction, selling/buying, inheritance, etc...the new owner must submit a new canon company claim using the development thread where the old owner passes the company to the new owner.

For primary source, the previous submission thread (of the company) must be included so staff can find/archive the previous submission leaving only the new submission. This is to prevent any confusion within the canon company lists and participating individuals.

Transferring Ownership of an Active Canon Company



1. If an active owner of a Canon Company wishes to transfer ownership to another writer who does not currently own a canon company, they must complete a development thread showing the transfer.

2. The new owner must create a new submission of their own for the same Company name.

3. A factory judge presiding will alert a Roleplay Judge, who will then attempt to contact the current active owner.

4. If the Roleplay judge confirms the transfer, Role-play Judge will then alert an Administrator who will then transfer ownership of the canon company and current tier level to the new Canon Company Owner, along with any edits made. The old submission will then be archived.

Question. I have a tier 1 company on another character, but haven't made anything new with it for quite some time. Could this be seen IC as the company being abandoned, and if so, could I have a thread where another character finds the company HQ and takes it as his own?

The canon company rules do not pertain to custom companies.


However if you feel that your custom company would be better with another of your active Alts, you may simply do a transfer or however you like to sell,auction, gift in a thread and submit a company modification changing it.
