Character Development - Surprise Pregnancy!

So it has been a long time since I've role played as Triam. The last thing I remember doing with her that wasn't a non-canon fight was... well, I can't actually remember. I think it was a rando-fight that didn't take off... or perhaps she was crash landing in the middle of a mando dominion... hell, it might even be business related to something that was an idea a year ago. Suffice to say, she is really suffering as a character, and I would like to see her in a different light than the typical FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT scenario.

Naturally, surprise pregnancy is what came to my head. *shrug*

Question is, do I dare speculate how she got pregnant... or rather, who got her pregnant? The few PC's she has interacted with aren't really around any more, or were taken men (or both of those scenarios), and I'm not sure I want to be one of those people asking for a romantic partner for a one night stand as a thread. Romance for Triam, I fear, would be far too complicated... like one of her gadgets or contraptions.

If I say it was an NPC rando, it solves all those problems... but lacks depth and does nothing other than make Triam pregnant. I could say, use my NPC Crol H'hurut, but he's old and they literally hate each other, but logically would the only one around to get her preggers.

Thus the way I see I got a few options:

• Find a PC to get a working relationship going, insinuate some deeper feelings (or more likely, desires), and imply a situation happened that would have gotten her pregnant. The bomb drops. Plot happens.
• Create a new NPC who could be related to a PC, and auto-generate an elaborate relationship which results in Pregnancy, and have Triam trying to find the bastard who ran away from her, instead finding said PC relation. Plot happens.

What do you guys think?

Plus then the fallout when [member="Deneve Verd"] finds out, kills her husband, makes off with the kids and his will etc.

Unexpected pregancy? One night stands? Lots of ecstasy? That has James written all over it. He's already got three kids that we know of from.... well...... stuff.

Playing things out with PCs, in my opinion is always more fun. It adds lots of depth and character. And is a great opportunity to collaborate a great story.

That doesn't mean she can't be ignorant of those views, and discover that incompatibility after some time. I wouldn't mind doing a preliminary thread with you, some sort of working relationship that introduces the characters first before, ahem... diving in, as it were.

Nothing against you or anything, just not quite the story I think I'm looking for. Birthing a second Akovin into the world will be quite enough drama for her without worrying about a scorned woman "killing" her husband and going after the "whore" who "seduced" him.

[member="James Justice"] you are a fellow capitalist to which a working relationship could potentially develop in an easy manner, but I'm not sure she could be convinced to get that drunk around a married(?)/taken man who (I assume?) is known to have a few, ahem, run ins with other woman. There is also the reason above that it may not quite be what I'm searching for. Maybe, I dunno. I'll think about it.

Lol it was a joke offer. But yes, we have rped, as this and Voracitos. He was Damien's master, and Damien and Triam gathered some mineral or other.

I'd suggest an NPC as to avoid awkward rp. Or you can always shoot for an even more awkward relationship, even though you said it would be difficult for the character. I don't know.

Nah, I am a widower. Wife died before my very eyes...... **looks into the distance wistfully** Yeah, not married. And James has a history of--consorting with many women and running. Or just finding them on the streets or bars, and making his moves ((He literally uses both the Force and his Zeltron Pheromones to seduce women. It is actually quite awesome sometimes)). Yeah. James. Lots of girlfriends. Now lots of one night stands. But totally go for what works for you and what you got going for you IC-ly ((Also note, the writer of one of his former girlfriends has returned and they are giving it a second shot. IC-ly they would be happening after.... ya know, this. However while James would be ok helping raise the kid and what have you, he would not uh, continue said relationship with Triam beyond friends, if you would like him to be an involved father))

[member="Triam Akovin"] Yeah I know the feeling. This was my first Alt so it was before I kinda got the jist of the site, once I did, basically ditched him. But the way these two would meet up wouldn't be too hard, he is a wanderer soldier. He does jobs to get enough money to go by while traveling the galaxy. Since this clone is kinda trying to get the life he never got, so a romantic occasion isn't too far off his to-do list. Maybe they could be on the same job, and something happens on the way, or whatever you want.

Which ever one I feel moves in a direction I'm enjoying, will be the one to win (temporarily) the Relentless' heart. I'm not just going to suddenly fall head over heels for any of you in a single thread, that's not how lov-.... relatio-... whatever this is! - work.

At least not to me? I dunno, IRL I've only ever had a single romantic partner for the past (nearly) two years. So naturally I'd be writing something I'm totally unfamiliar with, but can conceptualize Triam doing.

Also this is a totally unrelated note, but for reasons I can't seem to explain whenever I put Triam in a different ficiontional medium (an interactive novel for instance), she always seems to be attracted to woman. So if you got any lady friends who are also looking for lady friends, feel free to send 'em my way and I'll see if Triam leans that way in this universe too!
